[In the early afternoon, people paying attention to the journal may or may not take note of a familiar scene playing out in the woods on the edge of town. An open voice-feed, clearly unintentional of an extremely confused looking girl who's definitely just arrived, and from the sounds of it is not where she expected to be...]

Uuuuaaaah? W...what sort of illusion is this?!

[An actual scream!] KYYYYAAAAA!!!!!

W..hat?! WHAT?! N...o..., its gone! But...I was just...WHAT?! Where is it?! I've got to get back...from...here and...go help the others! But first...my pen...I've got to find it? And...whats this...thing? A book?

[The feed closes with the sound of footsteps coming near, but a misplaced finger adds a photograph to the broadcast.

Yes, I do. I think its really something that needs to be preserved, what with all the changes around us. I'm sure you know how I feel about keeping that alive.

So, what kind of doctor are you now? Are you a brain surgeon? [Obviously she just assumes that with Ami's smarts she'd want to work with brains!]

[... Ami tries not to wince. In those other worlds, Venus hadn't been so ill.]

Nothing like that. Right now, I'm still gathering experience.

Ahh, alright. So, you're still studying? Or are you in that period where you've just gotten started and have to work in the hospital?

I'm working with the hospital. Observing, mostly. [The nearer truth is that she's advising, but no one is going to be very reassured to hear the not-even-twenty-year-old is the one who gave the advice being followed for their loved one's surgery. So she stays in the background.]

Well, that sounds like something you're good at. You're learning a lot, aren't you? Is it what you always dreamed it would be?

[not a trace of sarcasm, she genuinely hopes her friend loves being a doctor! Even if its different, she's still Ami-chan]

It is. As long as I'm able to help the patients, I'm thankful.

I bet you help them more than anyone else!

So, you say Usagi-chan is here too? Is it...my Usagi, or yours?

Mine. [Somehow the possessive word comes anyway, instead of 'the one from my world'.]

But you know to Usagi-chan it won't make a difference. Rei-chan is Rei-chan, and very welcome.

[Rei DOES notice that, but doesn't really think anything of it. Its Ami-chan, and Usagi-chan, and even here she trusts them no matter what.]

I'm glad. I think...well...if you guys are here, then it'll be good to be here. But...are there any monsters here? What exactly do we need to protect Usagi-chan from?

I've procured her a device to let her be undetected by the Malnosso's droids. For the time being, she should be safe aside from their village-wide experiments.

[Or drafts. But Mercury will find a way to go in her place - or at least go with her.]

I'm sure she appreciated it. But, did you say Droids? Like...robots?

Yes. They capture people occasionally to bring them for more of the Malnosso's experiments. So far, efforts to fight them are ultimately fruitless.

Well thats certainly discouraging. Are there any other people who know about...well...us, here?

A few. So far, it hasn't been a problem. But it's a secret that's hard to keep in battle, or from people with abilities that let them see through our transformations.

Are there any others we can trust?

[Assuming they've made it indoors, Rei actually makes a beeline for a couch...she's feeling a bit dizzy again]

Mulder. Also, Giles, but he went home recently. Luke Skywalker and his comrades, too. Donatello and his brothers as well, even though Mike also returned home. [And a few others.]

Alright. I'll keep those names in mind.

[If Ami trusts them, Rei can't help but already warm to them]

Is this the house you mentioned?

Mm. We all lived here awhile ago, when Usagi-chan and Mako-chan and Minako-chan were all here. [As well as Chibiusa and even Zoisite.]

Was I here before, Ami-chan? [Another me?]

[But Ami shakes her head.]

No, never before. Just them. And... someone from our future, and Zoisite.

Zoicite?! And...you let him stay HERE?

[One of the Shitennou? Near Usagi?!]

It was Usagi-chan's choice. Once the shitennou were healed, there wasn't a reason we couldn't work together. After all, we have the same goals.

[She's stretching, somewhat. Usagi had kept Zoisite in line.

... The real danger had been Ami, who had worked with Zoisite's Kunzite to antagonize the senshi instead of resolving the differences between them, and who exploited Zoisite's attempts to make peace as weakness and treason to the Dark Kingdom.]

Usagi-chan...let him? That...I guess...if she had faith in him?

[That particular battle is still somewhat new for Rei, and she wasn't sure just how things could have gotten that way...but he wasn't here now...]

[She could shudder, now, to think of what she knows she did back then.

But now, it's different. She's lived happily with Usagi since Usagi arrived, and that shelter has of course been extended to Rei already. She's willing to give the shitennou chances - although she's quietly glad they're not here, and wary of them.

If they were to arrive, especially from her world... She'd handle it. Somehow.]

She wanted to help him. And I think she was right. He was kind to me back then. [The only one to still talk to her much after she'd healed, and the one to help her put back together the missing pieces of what she'd done during that time, with no memories of it of her own.]

However, if an enemy were to arrive again, we should be cautious until we know more about them. They could always be from a different world, or different time.

Zoicite? Kind? Forgive me, Ami-chan, but that guy's still fresh in my mind. And yes, I agree. If there are enemies, we do need to take extra special care, since its only the three of us.
