[She'd just checked Usagi's room, and it was empty. Nothing remained of Sailor Moon save for a half-empty bucket of pudding just sitting in the fridge. With a cry of frustration, the normally reserved miko took it out and hurled it at the trash bin, chocolate oozing down the wall. This was just too much. First Ami, then that awful Apep creature taking Sabriel, and now Usagi!

Her friends would need to be told, of course. So, a few minutes later a Voice transmission pops out over the journals. Rei's voice is tight and controlled, but there's definitely an undercurrent of sadness]

I'm sorry to inform everyone that Tsukino Usagi-san has been sent home by the Malnosso.

Please think of her fondly, and wish her luck.

Should anyone wish to make a formal prayer for her, I will be available to help with that, so please contact me via the journal.

[Closing the feed, Rei picks up her journal and heads out to the little tent shrine she, Ami, and Usagi had put together months before, lighting a flame on the brazier with Eferin and preparing several prayer strips of her own for her friend and Sailor Moon. She burns them, and sends her wishes to the other girl, whereever she might be]

[Okay, well, people go home all the time. Some of them come back. Positive thinking. Gotta think positive.]

[And its really all Rei can do to not just break down and cry. Saying this to a little girl like that...]

[Rei's voice wavers, she wants to say something comforting, but she's not sure what]

Usagi-chan is where she needs to be.

Sorry? [Headtilt.] Lots of people are saying sorry to Yotsuba, did something go wrong?

[Elicia said sorry too when her mother went home. Why are all these people apologising if they haven't done something bad?]

We...don't want you to be sad.

[Its all she can really say. Yotsuba is so young]

Nobody likes it when little girls are sad.

They don't? Ohhh. So you say sorry when people are sad and you don't want them to be.

[There's a pause where she takes this in. It's obvious what she needs to say now.]

[Rei balks, quivers, and can't decide if she should smile, laugh, or cry. Yotsuba...]

T-t-thank you, Yotsuba-chan. I hope that you're going to be alright. Has any other friend of yours gone home before?

[She better not cry, if Rei starts crying now then Yotsuba will think she's doing this 'say sorry when people are sad' thing wrong.]

Otonashy went home, he was good, a ten. Dug went home too and he could dance and talk. He was good too, a ten and a dog.

[Confused, and trying to distract herself and Yotsuba]

Good things get tens. If you're not good then you get about a four.

[And she almost tears up again, saying it]

[Heh, Rei can't help but smile now.]

Yotsuba can do stuff for you too! What do you want, cakes? Yotsuba knows where the bakery is! And flowers, Yotsuba likes flowers, you can find lots and lots of flowers at the florist!

[If she's going to be getting stickers out of this Rei might as well get something in return.]

How about bird-seed? Can you find some of that, Yotsuba-chan?

Bird seed? [Uh. Which shop has bird seed. Think. Thiiink.] Ohhh, Yotsuba knows where that is, it's in a shop. Yotsuba can look!

[A shop. There has to be some somewhere.]
