Rei glares at Kari for a long moment, her cheeks suddenly flushed with mounting anger, all trace of the earlier bitterness lost.
"I do have faith in my future," she practically spits, taking one quick step closer. "I have faith that Sailor Moon will do whatever she can to defeat our enemy and bring us back. But don't you dare tell me that you can even pretend to understand what it's like, sitting here and waiting for two years to find out if your friend is successful or if you're just dead. You said it yourself, didn't you? That sometimes worlds are different, and even a little difference at first can make a big change."
She jabs a finger at Kari, her own temper flaring even hotter at the thought.
"I don't want to think of myself as dead. I don't want to think that Sailor Moon fails. But when I have all this time and nothing to do but think about it am I just supposed to ignore the possibility? That's just as ridiculous! Of course I believe that she'll win, but that doesn't make this...purgatory...any easier!"
She closes her eyes, squeezing her hands into fists. The emotion of the moment, that heat...that passion...it's getting to be too much.
"And even if I do have doubts at times, am I not entitled to that? I'm not a comic book hero, I'm not fearless! I'm a person, and that means I get scared. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up. It just means that I have doubts, like anyone else."
And then she looks away, all that anger spent. Her hands are still clenched into fists, but she's obviously done yelling.
[Action] Suprose!
