[In the early afternoon, people paying attention to the journal may or may not take note of a familiar scene playing out in the woods on the edge of town. An open voice-feed, clearly unintentional of an extremely confused looking girl who's definitely just arrived, and from the sounds of it is not where she expected to be...]

Uuuuaaaah? W...what sort of illusion is this?!

[An actual scream!] KYYYYAAAAA!!!!!

W..hat?! WHAT?! N...o..., its gone! But...I was just...WHAT?! Where is it?! I've got to get back...from...here and...go help the others! But first...my pen...I've got to find it? And...whats this...thing? A book?

[The feed closes with the sound of footsteps coming near, but a misplaced finger adds a photograph to the broadcast.

[Last thing I remember?]

We...we were attacking the Dark Kingdom's base. And...you and everyone except Usagi...you guys...

[She can't finish the thought...but hopefully Ami gets the idea...]

Usagi was the last one. I...was defending her.

[Usagi... with only Rei defending her? Then it was different, not a world where they all died together in the vain attempt to stop the princess from repeating the past life.

It's a relief. She can still trust Rei with the truth of her own world, when the time comes. For now, she can at least reassure Rei of one thing.]

Usagi-chan saved us all. This might sound strange from me, but I'm sure that's the same in your world, too.

[That, at least, DOES seem to comfort Rei. She had faith in Usagi. She KNEW her friend would pull through, there never was any doubt, but that didn't take away the sting of seeing everyone...]

I...knew she would. But, oh...I think I need to sit down. This is a lot to process, Ami-chan.

[Ami's quickly at Rei's side, gently taking her arm to help her sit. She moves down with her friend, and sits beside her.]

It's alright. We can take as much time as you need. How do you feel?

I...feel a bit woozy, really, Ami-chan. And my back hurts. I guess...its just overwhelming. I...you said there was a house?

[She actually stumbles a bit, holding her head. This...her head. Its...a lot...]

Yes. The senshi have lived there together since they first came here.

[This isn't time to mention staying away, living on her own, waiting for her chance to attack them.]

[No...probably not.]

That...thats good. Can we go there? I think I really need to sit down. I'm sorry to be such a burden.

[Ami nods.] As soon as you feel up to getting up and walking awhile.

And Rei-chan... You're not a burden. Not at all. I'm relieved to see you, even if I'm sorry that it's here.

I think, with your help, I can manage to get there.

[She gets up, waiting for Ami to take the lead. Her legs are a bit steadier than they were before. Just having a friend, despite the...difference...is a great comfort]

Well, if it had been anyone else but you I'd be really worried.

[Ami gets up, and waits for Rei, providing support as they walk. She carefully matches her steps to her friend's.]

Usagi-chan is here, too. You'll see her at the house.

[Well thats a good sign. If Usagi is here...]

Really? Well...thats good. You say Minako-chan and Makoto-chan aren't though? How about Mamoru-san?

[She moves at a steady pace, only occasionally leaning on Ami, but is quite grateful.]

They're not here. [In the case of Mamoru, it might be for the best. If Usagi can let the princess sleep within her instead of awakening her...]

Well, then it'll be like when we first started out...[She offers a smile. Ami's always been good at talking her down, and explaining things. It seems she only gets better as she gets older.]

So...how old are you now? I mean, you like really different.

I'm not really that old... [She tries to soften it with an awkward smile.] I'm nineteen.

I...didn't mean it that way. You look more, womanly? Definitely older than my Ami-chan.

If you were fighting the Dark Kingdom... You must be fifteen?

Yes, I'm fifteen.

[She smiles. Really, its a relief to have Ami around]

Did you finish medical school yet?

I did. [And that easily, it suddenly feels like home, when that's Rei's first question instead of hearing how strange it is that she became a doctor this young.]

I studied abroad, in America.

Wow, in America? That sounds like a great experience. I bet you speak English even better now, too.

[Rei never doubted that her friend would become a doctor early. That 300IQ may or may not have been true, but Ami was probably the most intelligent person she knew, which is why its good that its her and not Usagi talking her down...]

[Ami will never boast about the actual number, but...]

I enjoyed it very much. I always wanted to be able to see the world. Though, it was very hard leaving everyone behind.

I can imagine. I don't know if I could do it. But...I guess if you were able to travel like that, then it means there is eventually an end to the fighting.

[She means that too, she's not sure she could detach herself like Ami, or if she'd really ever want to live anywhere but the shrine]

Even if there are more battles ahead of us, I don't want to give up my dreams. Usagi-chan taught me that.

[That sounds like something Usagi-chan would encourage, even if Luna wouldn't.]

Of course. Still, its good to know that you guys are able to follow your dreams. Its important.

[She's not stumbling quite so much anymore, she's managed to get into the rhythm of walking again, so she's not leaning on Ami as much any more]

[With Rei starting to feel better, they can go quicker, and before long, they're close to the housing, and the house used by the senshi.]

You, too, Rei-chan. You were able to study in the mountains in Kyoto, to strengthen your spiritual powers.

Really? That sounds really interesting. It would be really useful, to become stronger. I'd like that, to help everyone more, and be a better miko too.
