Second Prayer: A Proper Greeting and Mysterious Arrivals[Video/Action]

Backdated to March 16th

[Early on the morning of her fifth day in Luceti, Rei Hino leaves the house she shares with the other Senshi to go about her business for the day when she is surprised to find two very familiar faces perched in a tree not far from the house. Excitedly, Rei calls out happily to a pair of large, black crows]

Phobos?! Deimos?! Is that you?!

[The birds CAW loudly and wing down, happily skipping around on the ground at her feet. These birds had been her friends and companions for many years, and...without them it just wouldn't be as comfortable for her in this odd land. Plans now forgotten, Rei spends the morning playing with Phobos and Deimos, walking all around the village in her Miko robe with the two birds flapping around with her. Anyone unfamiliar with Rei catching the spectacle might be incredibly taken aback by just how familiar the corvids seem with the strange girl, actually allowing her to gently touch them, quorking happily]

[Later that afternoon, a Video feed will start up over the journal system.

Rei is sitting on a bench outside, fiddling with the journal for a moment before setting it down and standing up to address the camera properly. Her speech is very formal, and unlike her last broadcast, she sounds much more calm and collected, despite the pair of crows that peer into the camera a few times during the broadcast]

Good Afternoon everyone. I would like to take a moment to properly introduce myself when I'm not screaming and worrying about everything. My name is Rei Hino, and I am from Tokyo, Japan. I would like to apologize for my outburst the other day, and especially to anyone that I may have yelled at or been rude to.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone that helped me when I arrived. I promise that I won't ever forget it. Additionally, I want to thank everyone who helped take care of my friends Mizuno Ami-san, and Tsukino Usagi-san in the time before I arrived. They are very, very dear to me and I am glad that they seem to have found the inhabitants of this village to be welcoming and kind. They have told me many good things about many of you, so I look forward to meeting you.

And...I gather from other broadcasts its customary to ask a question. So, my question is this: What are the spirits of this land like? Are they kind and helpful, or are they capricious and mean? Also, I would like to know more about the spirits of your homelands. Studying such things is one of my fondest hobbies, so I am very curious.

I was hoping someone would pick up on the nuance. I have no real desire to learn the magic of these spirits, but if they really ARE native to this land, then maybe they know something I don't about the barrier. Or YOU don't know either.

And...I wasn't asking just you, though now you know what I was asking. Geez. So no, you don't know about the spirits, but...do you have other information you'd share over...not the journals?

They're capricious. Don't expect a straight answer, if anything.

As for other info...be careful who you state your plans to, because there are people here who are dead in their homes. No, seriously. I know a few. Otherwise, even with a full filter the journals are still likely monitored by the Malnosso. Leave it behind if you meet with anyone.

All spirits are capricious. And they speak in riddles [She states that flatly. She IS a priestess after all]

Oh really? Are...you willing to talk about this in person then? I'm feeling woefully uninformed, and nobody has yet to be so frank with me. Even my friends from home don't really want to say much..

Things about how people have reacted, past attempts, things that I can do to help. I just need something, so I can feel like I'm not just idly wasting time.

[She won't actually lecture, now that she's found a possible lead]

[And off the magical schoolgirl goes, leaving her journal but carrying her Transformation Pen. If Lupin wanted to hurt her, he'd be in for a HELL of a fight]

[There was no reason for the man in red to hurt the Japanese schoolgirl--she wasn't even normally someone he'd want to congregate with. But, with the excess of teenagers in Luceti, Lupin figured that such meetings were inevitable.

He's chilling and smoking by the fountain, red jacket on and no journal in sight.]

[Rei wanders up, no journal, and no visible Pen. One can't be too careful]

[Gentlemanly smile~]

You presume correct. Rei-chan? [He snuffs the cigarette out under his heel, a polite gesture.] Want to go somewhere cozy? There's a bakery near here with good cakes and good coffee.

[She gives him an appraising look, but nods. He seems friendly even if he is wearing a mask. And looks like a monkey]

The bakery is fine, Usagi-chan and Ami-chan pointed it out to me earlier this week.

[Masks are his livelyhood, as is his mutability and his memory. Back in November he met a woman named Ami--they haven't spoken since, alas. A part of him wonders if the two are the same.]

[She says those words with IMMENSE distaste, clearly they are people she does not want to have around]

[The distaste is so noted, as is the stern expression. Silently he thanks his luck that he doesn't needs to see the consequences of angering the teen.

None of them ring any bells, even as stories. What about them?

I just wanted to make sure. They're...bad people.

Well, they'd kill you without a thought, so...at least they aren't here.

Next...who in the village should I be avoiding?

...that depends, what kind of people do you want to avoid?

Well, people who'd want to hurt me, and my friends. People who...like you said...want to stay here forever? If I was to work on escaping, I wouldn't want to deal with people interrupting it.

I wouldn't know about people who would want to hurt your or your friends, but I can tell you that there are people here who are dead in their homes, and various people who found happy marriages in Luceti or who are in relationships that they'd never be in otherwise.

...Other people to avoid asking for help...I'd stay away from Dr. Adele Leblanc, Portgas D. Ace the turtle called Donatelllo and his friend Robert Alexander Hastings with your plans, because they'd all be among those who would be unwilling to leave, but that I've crossed paths with more than a few times.

[He trails off, wondering who exactly to name without revealing his position withing the societal structure of Luceti

[Rei nods, giving no indication that she has indeed MET Dr. LeBlanc]
