Second Prayer: A Proper Greeting and Mysterious Arrivals[Video/Action]

Backdated to March 16th

[Early on the morning of her fifth day in Luceti, Rei Hino leaves the house she shares with the other Senshi to go about her business for the day when she is surprised to find two very familiar faces perched in a tree not far from the house. Excitedly, Rei calls out happily to a pair of large, black crows]

Phobos?! Deimos?! Is that you?!

[The birds CAW loudly and wing down, happily skipping around on the ground at her feet. These birds had been her friends and companions for many years, and...without them it just wouldn't be as comfortable for her in this odd land. Plans now forgotten, Rei spends the morning playing with Phobos and Deimos, walking all around the village in her Miko robe with the two birds flapping around with her. Anyone unfamiliar with Rei catching the spectacle might be incredibly taken aback by just how familiar the corvids seem with the strange girl, actually allowing her to gently touch them, quorking happily]

[Later that afternoon, a Video feed will start up over the journal system.

Rei is sitting on a bench outside, fiddling with the journal for a moment before setting it down and standing up to address the camera properly. Her speech is very formal, and unlike her last broadcast, she sounds much more calm and collected, despite the pair of crows that peer into the camera a few times during the broadcast]

Good Afternoon everyone. I would like to take a moment to properly introduce myself when I'm not screaming and worrying about everything. My name is Rei Hino, and I am from Tokyo, Japan. I would like to apologize for my outburst the other day, and especially to anyone that I may have yelled at or been rude to.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone that helped me when I arrived. I promise that I won't ever forget it. Additionally, I want to thank everyone who helped take care of my friends Mizuno Ami-san, and Tsukino Usagi-san in the time before I arrived. They are very, very dear to me and I am glad that they seem to have found the inhabitants of this village to be welcoming and kind. They have told me many good things about many of you, so I look forward to meeting you.

And...I gather from other broadcasts its customary to ask a question. So, my question is this: What are the spirits of this land like? Are they kind and helpful, or are they capricious and mean? Also, I would like to know more about the spirits of your homelands. Studying such things is one of my fondest hobbies, so I am very curious.

Oh? You know Ami-chan and Usagi-chan? Thank you for your welcome. May I ask your name?

[She'll nod in response] I wouldn't mind some help. I'm told that there are classes to learn magic, but I'm really more interested in learning more about the spirits themselves than their magic. That doesn't mean I would like to meet them though.

Uh huh - they're friends. And I'm Link. [One of them, anyway.]

[Sitting back, he considers for a moment.] Well, I can tell you about four of them! The other three I don't really know as well. [Because he has no real affiliation with either fire nor water, and, er, electricity kind of scares him...]

Link. Its nice to meet you Link.

[She'll listen. You have a captive audience here]

So there are seven? Alright, and which do you know?

Nice to meet you too!

[Right, where to start...]

Well, the one that most people know is Nala - she's the healing spirit, and she's really really easy to contact and learn from. People say that the hardest is Hyt, who's the light spirit, but I don't think it's too hard - it just takes a while for it to teach you. [Little shrug goes here.]

I also know Kipinn, who's the wind spirit, and Faeren, who's the earth spirit. And I don't know Eferin or Sona, who are fire and water, or the electricity one. I forgot that one's name. [He looks a bit sheepish at that...]

Hmm, well thats very interesting. I should like to meet them, perhaps. I don't know if I'd be the best student, as I'm still learning things from the spirits in my world, but I'd at least like to familiarize myself with them.

[She feels you on the electrical spirit too, Link. That's Makoto-chan's thing]

How about your home? Are there many there?

[Yeah, Link's first exposure to electricity were the monsters in Jabu Jabu's belly. Fun association, huh?]

There sort of are, but not in the same way. There's Poes - they're restless spirits. And there's guardians, like the Great Deku Tree - they know lots of things and might know some magic, but they're not really like the spirits here. And there's the Goddesses, but they're not the same either.

Restless spirits? Like...Yurei? No...thats not what people call them. Ghosts? Or something else?
[She's interested, restless spirits are something...bad back home]
and Goddesses? What sort?

I guess 'ghosts' would be closest. They're normally just in the graveyard, but there were some out in the field... [He shrugs a little.] They're not too hard to deal with.

And there's three Goddesses - they're the ones who made Hyrule. That's where I'm from. But they're a lot more powerful than just spirits.

Oh...so you're an exorcist too? [Forgive her, she's not sure who else could 'deal' with ghosts]

What's an exorcist? [That'd be a no, then.] I usually leave them alone, I just fight them off if they try to attack... they always come back, though.

An exorcist is someone who banishes ghosts and evil spirits, or sets them free to pass on. I...do that a little bit.

How do you fight ghosts, if you aren't an exorcist?

With a sword? [He shrugs a little.] It mostly just chases them away, though. It doesn't really banish or free them.

[~~Best not to question the logic of Zeldaverse spirits...~~]

Oh...so. Wait, you can hit them? Is your sword magic or something?

[Reaaaally lost her there Link]

Uh huh. Except I don't think the Kokiri Sword was... they're kind of solid, anyway. [Poes are weird, man.]

So...in your world ghosts are solid?

There are things like that in my home, too, but we don't call them ghosts. Hmmm...

Well, they're Poes, not ghosts. But I guess they are! I've just heard people say they sound like ghosts.

Um...

[Give him a moment, and something that looks roughly like this - albeit not nearly as well-drawn - will appear in the journal.] That's what they look like.

That looks like a ghost, but not one from my country, maybe one from across the world in Europe. So, there aren't any Poes here, are there? They don't look terribly friendly.

[Ducking his head a little. Link's drawing skills are... basic.]

I haven't seen any - aside from in the Battle Dome, but I made those to practise against. I can show you one day, if you like!

I would like that. I'm terribly curious about all kinds of spirits. You never know what you'll have to fight, yea? Especially here...

Uh huh. Plus, once the Battle Dome malfunctioned and things started appearing in the village. It's good to be prepared for that!

Whoa, really? Ami-chan didn't mention that. It sounds like that would be really, really bad. Since it can make...whatever you want it to right?

[Youma in town would be a disaster!]

Uh huh. It made a lot of monsters from Hyrule - and me and Ami had to fight some things from both our worlds. She called them youma.

[A would-be disaster, but they did deal with them!]

They weren't real, though - when you beat them, they just disappeared.

Really? You...you've seen Youma?

[Does he know Ami-chan's secret?!]

Uh huh - then we fought Lizalfos, from my world. Her ice magic is pretty handy, huh? Lizalfos hate it.

[That... would be a yes.]

I...see. Are there any monsters from your world who are afraid of fire?
