Second Prayer: A Proper Greeting and Mysterious Arrivals[Video/Action]

Backdated to March 16th

[Early on the morning of her fifth day in Luceti, Rei Hino leaves the house she shares with the other Senshi to go about her business for the day when she is surprised to find two very familiar faces perched in a tree not far from the house. Excitedly, Rei calls out happily to a pair of large, black crows]

Phobos?! Deimos?! Is that you?!

[The birds CAW loudly and wing down, happily skipping around on the ground at her feet. These birds had been her friends and companions for many years, and...without them it just wouldn't be as comfortable for her in this odd land. Plans now forgotten, Rei spends the morning playing with Phobos and Deimos, walking all around the village in her Miko robe with the two birds flapping around with her. Anyone unfamiliar with Rei catching the spectacle might be incredibly taken aback by just how familiar the corvids seem with the strange girl, actually allowing her to gently touch them, quorking happily]

[Later that afternoon, a Video feed will start up over the journal system.

Rei is sitting on a bench outside, fiddling with the journal for a moment before setting it down and standing up to address the camera properly. Her speech is very formal, and unlike her last broadcast, she sounds much more calm and collected, despite the pair of crows that peer into the camera a few times during the broadcast]

Good Afternoon everyone. I would like to take a moment to properly introduce myself when I'm not screaming and worrying about everything. My name is Rei Hino, and I am from Tokyo, Japan. I would like to apologize for my outburst the other day, and especially to anyone that I may have yelled at or been rude to.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone that helped me when I arrived. I promise that I won't ever forget it. Additionally, I want to thank everyone who helped take care of my friends Mizuno Ami-san, and Tsukino Usagi-san in the time before I arrived. They are very, very dear to me and I am glad that they seem to have found the inhabitants of this village to be welcoming and kind. They have told me many good things about many of you, so I look forward to meeting you.

And...I gather from other broadcasts its customary to ask a question. So, my question is this: What are the spirits of this land like? Are they kind and helpful, or are they capricious and mean? Also, I would like to know more about the spirits of your homelands. Studying such things is one of my fondest hobbies, so I am very curious.

I... don't know what the name of my world is though! But I've been all over it! It's a really fun place when you get to make a lot of friends everywhere! [[It offsets the problems of "back to back wars" really!]]

Oh? Do you enjoy travelling? I've never really left Japan. I feel like I should have, though.

It's what I do best! Though... sometimes I do it without meaning to.

I teleport!

You...teleport? Seriously? Thats amazing!

Uh huh! This is what lets me teleport! It's called a Rune! [[And she shows her right hand, with a pretty yellow mark on it.]]

This is my Blinking Rune. It's just one of a loooot of the different Runes where I'm from

[Rei inspects it, peering at it. It looks a bit like some of the things she's seen in books, only different designs]

Its very interesting. I guess it does magic? So...are you a witch or a wizard?

Neither! This one is for teleporting magic! There's lot of other runes, like, water, and fire, and the Sun! But... we don't have a Rune engraver here so... we can't even use the one that the Prince found...

[faithfulflame]

Oh...so, you just use runes? With out them, nothing?

[She sounds curious...and a bit confused]

Nope! But, anyone can use a Rune back home! They just need to have a rune stone and someone to engrave it! There's even ones for weapons!

I can't really... take mine off, or remember how I got it in the first place...

Really? Hmm, well, it seems like a very nice thing to not remember getting. Are runes really common in your world?

[blinkingusalong]

Very! You can buy them in almost every city! There's even really special ones that govern the forces of the World.

[faithfulflame]

Wow, that sounds really great, Viki-san. So magic is really common in your world then? Is your particular type really well known?

[Unlike in hers...]

I don't know. I've almost been all over the world, but I've never seen another Blinking Rune...

[faithfulflame]

Well then maybe your rune is special and unique? I know a lot of people with unique things here.

Oh! How far can you teleport? I've never heard of anything like that, so I'm extra curious!

[blinkingusalong]

I can go pretty far when I think about it! I can't actually teleport home though... or outside the barrier so... there's that.

I've gone all the way across the country [[and back and forth through time]] by accident though! That's how I met a lot of my friends!

[faithfulflame]

Oh, well thats kind of sad. You must feel awfully confined here.

But all that travelling sounds like it would be really fun. Whats your country like? Is it very big?

My home... there's lot of stairs and doors that go all over the place! Sometimes it's really hard for people who aren't from there to get around because like... you really have to think about where you're going!

But... I've been all over the world though! I think I spent more time traveling than I did at home...

Oh? Do you not have a family back home?

[blinkingusalong]

I think I do...

I think I have a little sister. I saw a girl that looked like me once, so I think she was my sister!

[[Nope.]]

Oh? Well thats interesting. How about friends from your childhood? Do you remember that?

[blinkingusalong]

My childhood... No... I really don't... Sometimes it's really hard to remember what happened a year ago!

But... but I don't forget all the friends I made in all the different wars I helped with!

[faithfulflame]

Yea? Have you been in many wars? Are you a soldier?

[blinkingusalong]

I've been in 5 but... [[She clenches her staff... and I forgot this was even in person!]] I'm not a soldier... I don't think I'd make a very good one, but I still try to support the people who were protecting me.

[faithfulflame]

You aren't? Then how have you fought in wars? With your teleportation?

[blinkingusalong]

It was all circumstance... I rarely actually fought and... when I did I just... teleported things on top of the enemies...

One time I accidentally teleported a pig on a really scary general!
