Good afternoon everyone. For those of you who have not met me, my name is Rei Hino. I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all of the New Feathers. I'm sure that you will find something that you enjoy here, and that you will be able to make many friends. If you need any help, please feel free to contact me at any time.

On to other matters, though. Its taken me some time, but I have managed to prepare and purify a small area on the edge of the forest where I can perform flame readings and other types of fortune telling. I do not have much in the way of a shrine, merely a tent and a small consecrated area with which to work, so I hope that doesn't reflect poorly on the experience. In my world, I am a priestess, and I'm fortunate enough to have a gift when it comes to doing such things. If anyone is interested, I will happily use my blessings to offer a reading of your future. It would be my greatest honor to provide my services.

While I cannot guarantee perfect results thanks to our hosts weakening my powers, I feel that its not out of my reach to offer answers to simple questions that you may have about your near future. All that you need to provide is a question and a single hair for a flame reading, or just your question for other types of fortune telling. I have a set of tarot cards if anyone prefers that, but I'm more confident in my abilities at flame visions.

I hope that you find my fortune telling to be enjoyable!

[Rei can be found at the site depicted on the map for most of the day. Its simple enough, a tent that she and the other senshi had found in the item shop, erected as a sort of open air shrine with a carefully prepared brazier on the outside. Near the center is a small round table she'd hauled out of her house, and at the entrance is a bucket of purified water meant to cleanse oneself before a reading. A pair of crows, Phobos and Deimos, dart playfully around the area, hopefully adding to the impression of the site.

Rei greets anyone who comes by with a happy smile and a great deal of enjoyment. She loves using her gifts, and if it brings a measure of peace or enjoyment to someone she's more than glad]

(OOC: If you have Rei do a reading, I'll offer up a generic enough fortune, since they tend to be very vague most of the time. However, if you wish for something more specific or want to use the reading to set something up for future plans, foreshadowing, whatever, please speak with me and we can work out some details! Hit me up in a PM and we can work from there.)

[ Ryoji is a little too oblivious to notice her shivering - and besides, he's distracted looking around the shrine. ]

Oh, are you sure you don't want help making the cards? And well, I had extra cookies, so I thought I'd bring some to share before they went stale.

I wouldn't mind having my fortune told some other way if you'd prefer. Tarot is the only fortune telling I really know much about...

I...don't know, Ami-chan. I just know that I saw us fighting together. I couldn't see what we were fighting though. That's the trouble.

If it's another draft, there should be some information available once it begins. We'll review that completely. [She will, for certain.]

[Rue nods and heads over to the bucket. With great care and reverence, she pours water over one hand, then the other, then cups her hand and drinks water from it. Washing her hand a final time and flicking off droplets of water away from the bucket of water, she returns to the table.]

Now what?

[Don jerks away with a gasp, and takes a moment to compose himself.]

It - felt like being underwater. But something was wrong.

No, its alright, I'll take care of making them.

[Graciously, she accepts the parcels and gestures towards the brazier]

Have you ever had a flame reading done? That's my specialty.

[Rei's hand sweeps over towards the chair, beckoning Rue to have a seat. Wordlessly, she leans down and plucks out a single hair and smiles mysteriously.]

Sit, and wait.

[With a rustle of fabric, she crosses the tent and stands before the brazier, dropping the hair into the fire. Clapping twice and bowing, Rei kneels in front of the fire, her hands together in meditation.]

Ah -- [Quick pause and nods, as he chirps to the crows to ask how they're doing.] Aye, sure!

There's a mermaid on Fishman Island who's got a knack for this sort of thing too, eh. Madame Shirley I think her name is.

Yes. And at the very bottom? Death.

[Rei's tone isn't sad or angry, only matter of factly. Death is the logical end to all things, and despite her own friendship with the turtle it IS inevitable. But nobody should see their own death before it happens.]

Then please come in, though, I'll have to ask you to purify yourself before I can do anything. Use that water over there, and clean your hands and face.

[She gestures to a bucket with a mysterious smile]

Hmm, fighting is.. well, it's not a good thing, but it's what we're used to, right?

And it's what we have to do for everyone's sakes, so that means it's alright. I want everyone here to be alright and happy.

[Blinks and nods.]

All right. [Sort of cocks his head at that water at first to make sure it's okay, before giving up on whether he can even decipher anything that was in it and he rinses off his face and hands.] All good?

Then our future isn't too bad, then. I don't mind fighting if its to keep things here safe, either.

[Now she reaches out, pulling Usagi into a hug.]

I'm glad though, that we're here together. I think that we're going to need each other more than ever soon. Even if we've got good fortune on our side.

Yes, thats fine. Please, have a seat.

[Quietly she walks up and plucks out one of your hairs, Marco. Hope you don't mind, but she's wandering over to to the brazier already, her skirt rustling. Dropping the hair into the flames, Rei claps twice and bows, kneeling before the fire in meditation]

Yosh. [Grabs a seat and instantly blinks at that plucked hair. Oh well, at least it's not a feather. That'd be weird. And he'll just watch quietly for now since he doesn't want to distract her. He might be trying to get Phobos and Deimos' attention however.]

[Rei stares into the fire for a long, long moment, her eyes drinking in the vision granted to her by the flames. This one is different than most of the others from today, murkier but altogether less dark. When Marco gets the attention of the two crows, however, her concentration breaks as Phobos lets out a long, mournful scraw. She turns around and nods to Marco]

Its not the clearest vision I've gotten, but it seems you are in for some troubled times. I saw storms, dark storms tossing around a ship, and you were on the ship with some other men, like Ace-san. From what I saw, you were having a good time though, laughing and enjoying yourselves. It's a fairly neutral fortune, all things considered.

[ Oh, Usagi is up for hugging at any time of the day, especially with her closest friends. So without second thoughts she quickly wraps her arms enthusiastically around Rei as well. ]

The important part is being together, hm! If only we were complete, that'd be even better..

.. Ah, but then I'd constantly have Luna nagging me again!

[Wry grin.] We were laughing? [That in itself was reassuring. After his father's funeral, Marco's not even sure he can keep them all alive, so any amount of being able to share laughs with them again was welcome news.]

Thank you, eh. So is all this quite difficult? [Vague gesture to the setup.]

[Rei nods silently, with nothing more than a quiet hmmm before letting Usagi go. It was an interesting thought, the New Feather cycle would be starting soon. Would Luna, Makoto, and Minako be joining them? Or...would one of the enemy? Or Mamoru? That was an interesting thought]

That might be good for you, though. Luna is a very reliable person to have around, remember? She makes sure you do all your homework and take care of yourself.

... Death?

[It's taking him a minute to get his head around this.]

That's the horrible part though..! Whenever I go to have fun, she'll start nagging me! [ she does care about Luna, really, this is just one of those Usagi exaggeration moments. ]

Besides, Ami-chan already makes me do my homework!

Yes, you were laughing. Why wouldn't you be? You had all your friends.

[Politely, Rei shakes her head at his question.]

Consecrating an area takes a good deal of time. I've been working for a long time, but really it wasn't too difficult.

Yes. I don't know what it means entirely, but that nothingness? That's the end. Death.

[Her tone remains even. After everything else today? This was nothing new.]

Well, good for Ami-chan. Discipline is important too, Luna knows that. We can't have you slacking off too much, Usagi-chan.

[He shifts uncomfortably.]

Are we talking about the distant future? The next few days?
