[What a week! Rei couldn't remember a time she'd been more exhausted in her life. The minute she made it in the door of House 3 she'd just dropped into bed like a wilting flower. And she'd slept. For days. When she finally managed to get up and feel...human...again, though, she had things to address. Lots of things.

And the first thing on that list? The shrine. And preparations for a trap she planned to lay on two unwary wizards. After that, she had promises to keep and work to do. This was going to be a long day...]

[Rei spends the early part of the day around Tsukino Shrine. She's been gone for more than a week, and the whole thing needs a bit of tending, just basic chores. While she works, Phobos and Deimos play around the small courtyard, flapping around merrily in the spring breeze. It's a pretty nice time, a far cry from the insane battle the week before. Anyone's welcome to come by and help out with chores, or setting up for her foray into forced match-making.

Midmorning, before she sits down to have lunch she opens her journal and sends out a broadcast. Phobos and Deimos are probably pawing around the camera, being nosy birds as usual.]

Good afternoon, Luceti. This is Rei Hino. I would like to inform you that fortune telling at Tsukino Shrine will resume today as normal. I'd also like to express my sincerest condolences to anyone who was injured on the draft last week, and even more to those who lost someone in battle. Words...fail me at the moment, but if you are in need of a place to pray or find a peaceful place to think, you are welcome to use the shrine here for that. I hope you are able to find some measure of solace, however you choose to seek it. If you need me for anything, I will be here until six this evening for fortune telling or prayer services.

Additionally, I would like to ask a question. What are ways that you've learned to relieve stress? Particularly after a battle. How would you go about creating an atmosphere to help people relax? I have a small project that I'm working on down this vein, and I could use some suggestions. I would appreciate it a lot.

[Ami takes a quick, second glance around for a second broom. They can talk while they work, unless Rei has other ideas.]

It's like working at the clinic, for me. It's nice to have a routine that reminds me of home. I feel a little less far away from it.

Yes, it's familiar. And it's nice. I'm really grateful to Yuri-san for building it.

[She pauses in her work now, nodding towards the inside]

Shall we talk indoors?

[Ami, still moderately convinced it's something serious, is quick to agree.]

Of course; it will be more private anyway.

[Rei leads her inside, where Ami might see two futons laid out. She heads over towards a cushion and takes a seat near the fire.]

So. You...probably want to know why I wanted to talk?

It sounded [She chooses the word, without a notable pause] important.

[Though by now, at least, she's fully reassured; if anything had been wrong, surely Rei wouldn't have been casually tending the temple grounds or this slow in telling her. So, drawn by interest now, she takes a seat near Rei. The warmth of the fire still feels pleasant.]

It is.

[She smiles...somewhat sardonically]

I...need your help playing matchmaker.

[Oh, dear. She's been dragged into this sort of thing before and, well, at least it ended well. Actually, the couple are getting married soon. Usagi had been right about nudging them together.

Still... She'd better find out more about what's going on this time. Luceti makes things more complicated.]

Matchmaker? With friends of yours?

Yes. Max-san and Helios-san. They're...in love but afraid to say it.

[She can sympathize with the type of shyness that finds it hard to declare their feelings. She lets herself decide that Rei is right, and a (tiny) hint could help.

It helps that she remembers sending Motoki off to find Makoto as part of Usagi's schemes to bring those two together, too.]

What were you thinking of doing?

[She answers that readily]

I was planning on setting up the shrine for a night over, and locking them inside to talk out their problems. Usagi-chan agreed. What do you think?

[Yes, she calls her that...]

[Ami doesn't call the princess that - she's aware of the differences, but habit and her world's lessons are hard to unlearn - but she certainly doesn't object to Rei doing so.

She does, however, mildly object to the plan.]

Doesn't that seem like a little too much, maybe?

I don't think so. It might seem extreme, but sometimes people need an extreme push to get past extreme issues.

[And both those men have them...]

Maybe it would be better to create an opportunity for them to meet somewhere... Otherwise, doesn't it seem a little bit like forcing them?

You don't know Helios-san and Max-san, do you? They...are even worse about these things than me. They'll need a bit of forcing before they're willing to talk. Helios-san has already hurt Max-san's feelings on the draft by not being able to...say anything.

[Well... locking people in a room is a bit of a mean prank, but not going to hurt anyone. And it's not like it will make them do anything they don't want to. Slowly, Ami nods.]

I'll help, then, if you want.

Thank you. I need advice on things to set up for them aside from food and bedding. What do you think?

[She doesn't know them well enough to be sure. And she's still not wholly convinced the idea of 'locked in' and 'overnight together' is the best way to go about this. Ami looks uncertainly at Rei.]

What sort of things do they like? What do they to together now?

Magic. They enjoy magic, and working together on that.

[Rei shrugs her shoulders]

I know they're both fond of music, books and just...talking.

[Well... this plan has the advantage of giving them an opportunity for that, at least.]

And you think if they're at the temple together for awhile, like this, they might start to realize their feelings more?

I think that it will get them talking. And maybe help Helios-san work past some of his issues.

And we can leave right after that, to give them privacy while they talk. We can come back later.

Not we. [Rei smiles faintly] I certainly won't be here. I'll be setting the ward. But I won't return till morning. To let them scold me if they wish.

How are you planning to arrange it?

Inviting them here with promises of food, and then the magic I've set traps them. Nothing complex.
