[Minako scoots in so that she can lean over Rei, putting her hands where Archer had his just moments before. the smile she gives Rei is tender, apologetic, even]

I'm not going to refuse. Just leave everything to nurse Minako! ♥

[That sounded incredibly silly.

But if they were going ahead with that, Archer wasn't going to be a creeper so he hopped to his feet.]

If that's it, I'll take my leave. There's cake in the other container for when you're done eating.

[Rei sighs into the couch, leaving Minako to work and not bothering to respond to Nurse Minako. That was...it was silly, but endearing.]

Thank you, Archer. Really.

[she was just starting on Rei's sinus area when Archer gets up. she turns to tilt her head up at him]

You're not gonna eat with us? [he came all this way to bring them food and help...]

I'm just a spirit.

[He starts to fade away, turning into a cloud of blue sparkles. As he reverts to his more invisibly form, his voice echoes a bit.]

Whoever heard of a ghost eating?

Be well, Archer. We'll talk soon.

[That's really all she has to say on the matter. She'd figured that about him already.]

[whoa! he really disappeared! Minako blinks widely at the place where Archer once stood, then turns back to Rei]

He came all this way just for us...

He's like that. A better person than he'll admit, and he tries to hide it.

[Rei smiles up at Minako.]

Your hands are warm though. Thank you, dear. I really appreciate this.

[huh... Archer was a strange one. he could be so harsh but there was something decent in him]

They're warm because I was handling warm food. Think you can eat something while it's still hot?

Really? That's the only reason they were warm?

[Rei chuckles weakly in Minako's grip.]

And I think so. I'm not the nauseous kind of migraine.

[Minsko sweeps her thumbs across Rei's temples before pulling back. she'll help Rei sit up]

Well, if you start feeling sick, just let me know. For now, let's eat! It looks so good. I wonder where he got it.

I will. Thank you.

[Rolling over, she sits up and waits for food to be put on her tray.]

Really, it means so much to me.

[Minako tugs the tv tray over to the couch. hot chicken and dumplings are set there, along with chopsticks]

Anything to help Rei-chan feel better. [a beat] Oh! Forgot the tea! [and off she goes to grab it]

[Nodding gratefully, she picks up the teacup, fingers shaking slightly...and takes a sip.]

You really are the best, you know.

[the flatterer! Minako manages to keep herself from preening too hard, and then takes a seat beside Rei on the couch]

Well, I think you're the best. And I'll do whatever I can to help you out. No matter what. [even if it's giving Rei a thirty minute massage every day]

[It is how she does things. She is a flatterer for the right person. Gently, almost gingerly, she leans against the taller blonde.]

I know. That's part of why I like you so much.

[There's a silence for a moment.]

So, what do you think I can do to repay you? Because I am ever so grateful.

[a pleased smile crosses Minako's features as she eats. it's a nice weight against her, makes her happy]

I haven't thought about it yet! [Minako hums in consideration] I did really like going out on Valentine's Day... What about another fancy dinner, if we can afford it?

[And Rei takes comfort in being the one resting for a change. Minako's a solid warmth beneath her, and knowing that there's someone here she can count on unequivocally is a huge weight off her own shoulders.]

We can. Absolutely. As soon as things start getting back to normal...we'll go, I promise. I'll treat you like a princess.
