Rei-san... whenever you get this, mind calling me back? Or, you know, just a text. Something. [ Hesitant pause... and then, he steamrolls ahead. ] I just wanted to make sure that you're back in the city too. And that you're okay. 'Cause that was... that sure was something.
[Rei is not answering this immediately, he's right. She takes a shower and spends a little time making sure her partners are well taken care of, and that a proper breakfast is cooking before she returns the call.]
Yosuke-kun. I'm glad you called. [She's keeping it audio because her hair is still a wreck.] I'm back.
Did you make it through your...adventure...in one piece?
Yyyeah. It was... definitely an adventure. [ Sigh. ] We ended up in the mountains, and there were griffins, and some freaky, pretty incriminating crap left behind in an old shack...
[ Whoops, getting a little ahead of himself. ]
Glad you're back too. Where'd you end up? What happened?
I ended up inside a volcano. Or old lava tubes or something. I am not entirely certain, but I was with Ardeo. [She pulls a face.] Narukami-san was with me, as well, since he's Fire aligned it seems.
The less said the better. He's an embodiment of fire. So capricious, dangerous, unpredictable. He...and I do not see eye to eye.
[She hates being controlled, and contained in any way. And being...claimed?]
Minako-chan is fine. She's currently in the tub having a long soak. Ami-chan's in the other. Ah...another friend from home who came the same time you did.
You've had better luck than me, then. Maybe next time I talk to him, he won't freakin' ditch us.
[ But he ends it with a chuckle - he's a little bitter, sure, but it's whatever. He trusts Rei's judgment. ]
Must've been tough... I know I didn't like being separated from Yu at all. I'm just glad that's all over. Leaves a lot of questions, though. Can't say I'm surprised...
