[Namur punctuates it by capping a marker via hitting it against his sketchbook, both the sound of impact and the sound of the click serving as emphasis. He glances up.]
But I ain't smart 'nuff t' figure out how t' find proof that's gonna mean shit t' anyone other'n me.
Yeah. The Murderbot. Grinnin' bastard that offed me in the Tower. One that offed that 'maid an' deleted her from the records. An' he talks like a shitty machine tryin' too hard t' be human. Or maybe jus' a dumbass alien, but we got all kinds a people from all kinds a worlds pretty much aliens t' each other that don't give that same vibe, so yeah.
[Namur starts fidgeting with the marker. He doesn't sit still very well, but he doesn't want to ignore her and go back to drawing. He's pretty much done with what he's working on, anyway.]
[He plops the marker down among the rest of the pile, and passes Mars the graffiti he'd been drawing. Hopefully, she's somewhat familiar with the concept of l33t spelling. It's the password he used, M05l3Y5uCk5D1cK.]
When I put that girl's name in the computer, that's the password I typed. 'S kinda a shitty thing t' say 'bout someone helpin' yer crew, right? So I 'pologized an' he... kinda acted like he knowed 'bout it. Thing is, 'til now, me an' the Murderbot's the only ones that knowed what I said. So there's a couple a reasons ol' Murderbot coulda killed me for it, an' Mosley knowed. Easiest is, he's the Murderbot hisself. Second is, all a Ceres knows 'bout all the passwords on all the computers. If so, then they're hidin' shit 'bout killin' that girl for some reason an' they all know 'bout it. Which... ain't much better, but y' know. Doesn't necessarily make 'im the Murderbot. Or, maybe they don't know shit 'bout the girl, an' I got killed for sayin' Mosley sucks dicks. An' who the hell else is gonna care if someone says that, other'n Mosley hisself? He don't like gettin' called names, made sure t' call 'im a few t' make sure. So the way I figure, two outta three ain't bad odds. Ain't great, but ain't bad. 'S worth lookin' int', anyway. Aye?
[She is vaguely familiar. Vaguely. Minako texts...]
Well, you know...they're able to see and understand what we do and say. That's what these implants in our eyes relay to them. So he could have easily learned about what you did from that.
But you know? I'm somewhat inclined to agree that his intentions are less than savory. Sinister even. And he certainly only showed up when the coup happened.
Know it ain't much t' go on. An' hell. Think I'd rather be wrong'n right 'bout it. Thing is, if either a us gets suddenly extra humped by Ceres or Mosley hisself, we'll know 's cuz a the sinkin' implants an' someone don't want us lookin' at shit too close, catch me? Kinda mean we're sniffin' too close t' the right trail.
[And if they are listening, well. Hopefully he's just bought them a bit of time.]
Anyway, that's it. Told y' I wouldn't keep y' too long. Sheheheh!
I do catch you. [But man you speak awkwardly...] Regardless of that, it's definitely something to be careful of. Talking about this stuff, I mean. Not that I think anyone in the colony would tell CERES, but spreading information we're not sure of? Is not wise. I'll definitely ask some of my friends who've been around longer or might have other info and get back to you if I learn anything.
And it's no trouble. I do have a question for you though. I assume you went with Maris. Tell me of your experiences?
Dude's an ass an' wouldn't let us eat none a the fish in the river. But I guess he ain't all bad. Got picked up by a river somehow, so people was bitchin' 'bout gettin' wet. Then we got t' the ocean an' there was this bigass like, mutated kraken thing an' people's bitchin' 'bout gettin' attacked. So a bunch a us went out an' done the damn sucker in, then people bitched 'bout us killin' it. No one bitched 'bout eatin' the damn thing after though, an' I notice no one starved. Outside a that we mostly jus' hung out on the beach or whatever. Found some cool seashells, got my gills wet, then 'ventually started chokin' on every damn thing 'til I passed out. Then I's back here.
Well, I heard about the kraken, actually. I had other friends there, all making it back safely. I assume you had a hand in killing and cooking the thing, so that's good. Thank you. The people I know aren't like me, they can't fight.
Sounds like you had a better time than we did, until the poisonous atmosphere got you too. We were trapped in a cave for three days without any light that wasn't fire.
You mean aside from slowly suffocating to death while Ardeo played with stickers? Frankly, just tried to survive. There are monsters of all stripes there.
[He nods. Sounds like she's got a pretty good crew to hang with.]
Well, they all wind up disappearin' or some shit an' I'm still 'round, tell me an' I'll guard yer back durin' shit like that. When I can. Like if they dump me halfway 'round the world or some shit I can try t' find y' but it'd probly take awhile t' pull it off, y' know?
[With all that happened after, he's still feeling pretty lame. But he's not going to dwell on it too much.]
Somethin' like that.
[He rolls his eyes and starts gathering up his art supplies. He will uh. Not be offended if she doesn't want to keep the password art, but he's not making any moves to gather it up, either.]

Man stuck in a cave sounds borin' as shit though. The hell'd y'all do for days on end?

Sounds like Ardeo's a bigger ass'n Maris. Did yer girlfriend wind up in the same place with y'?
no subject
No, unfortunately. She was with Caeli.
And I don't think Ardeo is an ass, he's childish and stupid. Maris is legitimately an ass.
no subject
[That seriously sucks being stuck somewhere without anybody watching your back.]

[Nakama. Not a word she's heard in a while...]

I'd be glad for the assistance.

Hopefully, naw. But y' never know what's comin'. Try not t' get m'self killed 'fore I get t' show off that I ain't totally useless, too. Sheheheh!
[Namur runs his hand over the back of his head, a little sheepish.]

So. In the mood for a drink?
no subject
[At least, not regularly.]
And honestly, I feel like I should be going and taking another bath. It's going to take weeks before my hair feels clean again.
[This is not a lie. She has a lot of it]
no subject
Ever need help with that too, don't hesitate t' call! Sheheheheh!
[He winks, mostly kidding.]
[
Mostly.]
