[She went to set down the bags in the kitchen.]
I picked you up those two recipe books you asked for from the store as well! [She called from the kitchen, unpacking everything.] I'm going to leave them in the kitchen for now.
[Rei doesn't bother with a texted response. Ami'll be home exactly as she'd said, and she'll find a thoroughly exhausted Rei sitting in the living room. She really hadn't wandered too much the last day or two, since the Sealing. But that shouldn't have been any surprise. Rei had slept a full 24 hours after that, anyway.]
Thank you dear. For the books. I think the tank will be just fine in your room, too. But if you feel like putting it out here, it might be a nice conversation piece. We could definitely do with more.
I'm going to make you some honey lemon tea. [She said as she looked at Rei sitting exhausted. While she was tired as well, Rei did most of the work as the only one with the powers that could really help. She started to take down the teacups and put on the kettle. She went to the living room and bent down to look at Rei.] Have you gotten up to eat today? I can make you a cold compress, if you need?
I've been up, yes. Obviously, I left my bed. And I ate a bit. [She gestures to a cereal bowl, an apple core, and a half-eaten package of octopus chips as well.]
A compress sounds alright too, if you don't mind. I appreciate it.
[Ami gathered up the bowl core, and chips and took it all back to the kitchen. She pulled out the beef and pork baked buns and put them on a plate as she started getting the compress ready too. She came back with both.]
Here, eat this, you need some protein in you, I would get you iron supplements but this will be better for you overall. [She set the fresh buns on the table before putting the compress on Rei's head. She gently pressed her hand against Rei's collar bone and smiled] Well, thankfully, you didn't give yourself a fever in your exhaustion. Let the compress sit for a few minutes and then you can eat the buns. They're still super hot in any case.
Because while we did help, your abilities were at the forefront of this, Rei. I suppose it's the same when Usagi has to heal a whole mass of people. You did wonderfully, though.
[She smiled as she went to go prepare a light snack with ready-made edamame. She kept calling from the kitchen.]

[Ami suddenly looked at Rei in surpsie. Rei never mentioned that she was the one who made the first move. Ami had assumed it was Minako as the more... well, forward, one of the pair.]
I believe you, truly... I've never confessed... to anyone... I mean, besides a school-girl crush I've never liked anyone. [And certainly no one has liked her, outside the occasional love letter and the resulting allergic reaction.]
What if... goodness, I can face an entire galaxy or planet crushing down on us without so much as flinching but I can't even say "I like you," to him.[She hid her face in her hands.]
[Rei folds her arms and tries to sound as reassuring as possible. Yes that was true. They'd definitely done things that would be pants wettingly terrifying to anyone else...but the day to day things? Those were hard for either of them.]
Well, he's not going to kill you. He's not going to be angry. The worst that will happen is he says no, but I am certain he'll be flattered at the least.
I know it's the worst, honestly, I've considered the probability of... everything, even ViViD glitching again. Still, I suppose the worst is you'll need to find me at the pool for the next week or so if things go poorly.
