It's alright. I said I would, I've just been incapable of leaving the house.

The wall...was sealed up, first of all. If it wasn't obvious, we succeeded.

That's what I heard. How did you manage to do it?

Old sealing rites and rituals. A layered defense drawn from several traditions, over some of Jack Frost's magical ice.

Most of the mages and magically oriented people here worked on it.

How difficult was it? I mean, I can't imagine the ghosts were super thrilled.

Well, it...wasn't exactly easy. I had a good defender, though. The Elven Prince Kael'thas had a shield around me specifically, and the other seal workers had guards as well. It wasn't pretty, but nobody was killed, and injuries were minor.

for some reason i pictured seal workers as...actual seals....

That's good to hear, at least. Where you able to...see anything? Beyond the wall, I mean.

No. It was too dark, and I wasn't fool enough to stick my head in.

Yyyeah, I can't blame you for that. Do you...think your seal will hold permanently? Or is there a chance something might break out again?

I think I'm as sure of it's permanency as I am anything else. It should hold, and will against anything I'd know from home that isn't a greater god. But I can't be certain, here.

Fair enough. You guys did a really great service for the city, but I wonder if CERES would have done something about it eventually.

Doubtful. They'd have done something, but not as lasting. And not as proactive.

[cryptologic]

Can't argue with you there. I wonder if we'll hear anything from them on what you guys did.

[faithfulflame]

Probably not. They tend to leave well enough alone...irritatingly enough.

[ He pauses for a moment, leaning back. ]

I've been meaning to talk to Mosley again. I think we could get a lot more out of him.

Oh probably. He seems more amenable to conversation, at least. Athena-chan asked him to attend her birthday party after all.

I don't get the feeling he's entirely loyal to CERES, either. Or...maybe that's not the right way to put it. It's more like...[ How had Yu put it? ] He's self-interested.

Oh, I feel the same way. He's not necessarily on anyone's side but his own.

Definitely. If we can figure out a way to make our interests and his interests match, we might really get somewhere.
