[ That glow makes his eyes go wide, and he tries not to stare, but it's hard. So if his eyes keep flicking away from hers and back down to that glow, uh, he's sorry especially since it's 10000% not what it could look like were that glow not there ]
Amnesia, sort of? Repressed memories? I... guess that makes sense, if it's a whole other life. So then, why now? Or, well, when it happened - why then? Was there a reason?
[She lowers her hand, and the glow stopped. She'd wanted to call attention to it.]
That's a bit of a long story. But I have time. You know how I said other people like me existed? There's one Sailor Senshi per planet, and one for the moon. But we're far from the only supernatural beings in our world. This will need some context.
[She smiles sadly, her voice growing more rich, mature...older somehow. If she didn't have a commanding presence before, now she certainly did, as she gave over to the memories.]
A long, long, long time ago? Before the Ice Age...that was when our past lives existed, as the Guardian Goddesses of various things. It was an age called the Silver Millennium, where we all worked together and lived on the Moon, as residents of The Moon Kingdom.
[ His mouth makes a silent "Wow," at her explanation. ]
Lived... on the moon. [ Beat. ] I'd ask how, but if you guys were goddesses, then that's probably all the explanation that's really needed. So there's really a kingdom on the moon?
[ He's not exactly thinking about how kingdoms can potentially fall - clearly that logic doesn't apply to moon kingdoms, right...? ]
There was magic in the kingdom, yes. Power enough to rewrite the rules as we saw fit. We lived there for...I don't even know how long. On each planet, there was a castle, a population, all of that.
[She smiles sadly.]
But the Silver Millennium ended. The kingdom is gone, a ruin hidden within the Sea of Serenity. The large crater visible some nights, if you don't know what I mean. That used to be filled with water, smooth as glass. Hence the name.
