[ she's just as worried. everything's started to become really creepy, especially with how sudden the noises stopped. ]

I didn't visit her. My mask just appeared. That's what bothers me most about this. If it was limited to people who fulfilled a specific condition, that's one thing. But this is everyone.

Mine is, yes. The same as Ami, Minako, and Usagi-chan. We all have feathers. But so does Kujikawa-san. And I know others have said that they have different masks too.

I've had uncomfortable dreams lately too. Nothing specific, nothing even all that bad, nothing I can remember even, but I keep waking up at night. That's usually a sign. Usually.

I'm sorry you haven't been sleeping well lately. [ that's just terrible. ] Is there anything I can do?

I'm fine. A little insomnia is nothing new.

I think it's related though. I'd almost be willing to bet on it.

[She's...actually somewhat surprised to hear Yu's name come first.]

When did she disappear?

[Because that suddenly overrides any concern about the masks. That's someone important gone. Lucky for Athena she's not near Rei right now, because insomnia causes fraying tempers.]

[ she definitely hears something thump, and she winces. not that rei could see. ]

Just yesterday. [ this is painful for her to talk about. she lost three friends in the same day, and it was the worst. she sounds calm now, though, but it doesn't mean that she's forgotten. ] She left her Vespa, so I took it to my place. That's all that she left.

I wish I'd known sooner.

[It's painful for her too. Probably not a subject she cares to linger on, since she'd have liked to know sooner and not been told. Accidentally hitting on important and omitted information was frustrating. But whatever. Just. Whatever. That's all she's got right now.]

The masks. Any theories?

I tried to do some research on them, but nothing relevant popped up.

No, you probably won't find anything. Not immediately so. That's not how CERES does things.

There won't be. Again, they control the flow of information. It's not weird at all.

What would Freud think? You're the psychologist. I mean, the cracks probably indicate some sort of divide, a fissure.

Then either you've missed something, a crush from someone maybe? Or you've had your heart broken before Simon-san. Or you've been betrayed.

... I wouldn't say I was betrayed, but it was very close to it.

A detective who I thought was my friend turned out to be somebody else.

[ but the main reason she has cracks in her mask is because she betrayed myriam's trust, but she doesn't know that :') ]
