You think all of them were programmed to do that? Mine tried kidnapping Yu-senpai and telling everyone we were on a date and tried to kill me a few days later. What's the point of that?
I do think they were programmed that way, yes. Usagi-chan's tried to kill her as well, as did other friends of mine. Some robots were successful, unfortunately.
But why? I...can't even begin to understand a proper answer to that. CERES does a great many things that make no sense.
[There's a gasp on her end of the line. She hadn't been aware that some of the robots were really successful in murdering people.]
I was hoping that maybe CERES really wasn't interested in killing us off for fun, but maybe that was wishful thinking. It sounds like that Mosley guy almost set us up on purpose. He was pretty mad about all of the people complaining.
But are they really how he feels about us? Or just what he's trained to say? [Look, she's had enough experience with people coaching her on what to say and how to say it to wonder such a question.] But if he can't make his own choices I don't think we can trust him either.
Then the really important part is finding out who's pulling the strings. That'll make the whole thing seem less pointless and it'll make all of this less...[Painful, maybe.]
Unfortunately. Not that I'm aware of. And not because of a lack of trying. we've just had no evidence pointing us towards a target. CERES says the Flamines, the spirits say CERES, the Flamines say nothing, and the ghosts all say CERES. It's clear that whoever it is has a connection to the company, but what that connection is is hard to say.
Talked to people, mostly. It's still not the easiest to do. [She admits that freely.] But that's gotten me through the worst moments of my life. And kept me sane here.
I'm glad you've had some people you can talk to, especially here. [...] I heard about what happened with Minako-san. I didn't think you wanted to be bothered at the time but I just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear it.
I still need to meet Usagi-san. [It's muttered to herself, but something she really ought to look into.]
I'm glad you two have each other. And you have all of us here, too. [Which leads her to her next point.] I feel like we haven't really had a chance to get to know each other that well. We should spend some more time together! If you want.
You and she would get along well I believe. [Because Usagi was…bubbly.] And I know I have support here. I…am not alone. It’d be hard for me to even imagine that, anymore. But thank you, for reinforcing that.
[A beat.]
And yes, of course I would like that. You might find me a little dull, but yes, certainly. I would like to get to know you better as well.
I don't think I will. People are always interesting if you take the time to really get to know them and talk to them...there's a lot more to them than you think when you first meet them. [That's true for everybody in the IT, isn't it?]
What kind of things do you like to do? Besides running on rooftops.
What kinds of things do I do? Well, kendo. Kyuudo. Rock climbing, meditation, aikido…ikebana, and several other traditional crafts. And I play the piano. [She’s…basically a shoujo heroine.]
[Yep her eyes sure are growing wider and wider the longer Rei speaks. Sounds more like she'd get along with her senpai better but that's not something that can deter her very much.]
More than anything? I like trying new things. Pretty much anything can be fun if you're doing it with your friends. Beach trips and trying new food places and back in the city when I had time...[There's a short pause. She's still, truthfully, trying to decide exactly what she really does like to do when allotted and now that she's developed her own personality again.] Going out. Senpai and I used to go shopping together back home, too. That's what's so great about this place, there's so much you can look into and try here.
[Honestly there aren't many people who can keep up with Rei in terms of her hobbies and what she does to train. She's met a few, and none of them are human, but that doesn't mean she isn't interested in getting to know Yosuke's friend better. Rise is nice, didn't have any expectations of her, and was a lot sharper than she might seem. Rei can respect that in anyone, and an earnest, sweet girl is just the right sort.]
This place has a lot of perks, yes. No day will ever be the same as the last, if you want to change things. It's such a shame there's a rotten spot in the shape of the CERES logo, but we have to make do with what we've got.
Shopping could be fun, though. My friends enjoyed it, and I'd go along for the company. It'd be a little like home, if we went out.
[Rise's fairly personable with most people, she likes to think, and she knows Rei is friends with several other people she knows. More friends is always a better option.]
I think that sounds like a great idea! [She actually sounds a little relieved. Shopping? Shopping she can definitely do.] New outfits are always in order. There's also this cafe I really like that has the best desserts. We can stop there, too, if you like? They also have really good teas.

You see why I don't trust him? After speeches like that...
