Stopping further murders, figuring out the mystery behind the murders that had already taken place, and in the end, saving all of humanity from being dragged into the fog, turned into Shadows and warped into their own basest instincts... everything he and his friends had done was to prevent death. It's strange and awful to come so close to death so much, and he will never be accustomed to it.
