[For a moment, Mabel wasn't too sure what to say back. There were a lot of things going on in her mind but one thing was for sure]

Yeah, I kind of do. I don't know, this is what? The 3rd time Dipper's not with me and it's just kind of weird.

[There's a lot Rei could say, but all she does say is...]

Meet me at the ice cream shop we were at last weekend. I'll be there in fifteen minutes. We'll talk there.

[meowbel]

Oh, I'll be there all right! There's no way I'll ever pass up on ice cream! I'll see you in a bit!

[With that, off Mabel went to the ice cream store! And the moment she arrived, she made sure to keep her eyes open for a certain raven haired teen in her field of vision!]

[Rei's there, of course, and immediately trots up to Mabel to gather her up in the biggest hug she can manage.]

Hey, Mabel-chan. I'm glad you made it.

[meowbel]

[When Rei suddenly gave Mabel a hug, all she could do was return it right back. She didn't know why but she found herself hugging even tighter around her friend]

Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the entire world! Like I'll ever say no to you and ice cream a-at the same time!

[Cuz she's lonely duh.]

I didn't think so. So.

[Turning without letting her go, Rei carries Mabel inside and sets her down at a table.]

What do you want?

[meowbel]

Hmmmm....how about chocolate? Actually, no wait, how about strawberry? I think that would be the most tastiest!

[Because why not? As she sat down, she couldn't stop giggling!]

Why not Neopolitan then? That way you get both, and vanilla?

[Sit down, Mabel-chan!]

[meowbel]

Oh, that's a good idea too! You're a genius, Rei, I like the way you think! Hit me up with Neopolitan then!

[She can't when there's ice cream involved!]

Fair enough.

[Rei heads off and orders the largest serving of the stuff they offer, and a medium sized bowl of orange sherbet for herself. Returning, she sets it down for her young pal.]

So. Eat up, and talk to me. If there's something I can do to make life easier for you...

[meowbel]

[Despite the huge mountain of ice cream before her, she didn't say anything at first. Instead, she simply looked at the pile before her wondering what she should say to the young woman in front of her. ]

Thanks, Rei, I really appreciate that. ...I think I just need somebody to talk to. You know, just have a girl on girl talk and just make all this weird squishy sadness go away.

[Pause] ...Or something.

[faithfulflame]

Yeah.

[Rei slides around the booth and sits next to Mabel so she can give her a one armed hug.]

I know what it's like. Three of my closest friends are gone now, and my special someone too. You just have to, sometimes, accept that you'll be apart for a while. But...in the end you'll be reunited. Like a...solo adventure.

[meowbel]

[ain return, Mabel couldn't help but chuckle.]

Well, that's one way of putting it! It'll be just you and me against all of Cerealia! With our super powers combined, we can do just about anything! What do you say? You feel like being part of the super omega awesome duo? Because I know you want to!

[Because why not?]

[Good. At least she's being Mabel again.]

I don't see why not, Mabel-chan...

[meowbel]

Then c'mon! As soon as we are done feasting on such a treat, we will begin at once!!

[All the while pointing straight up in the air!]

Alright, alright. Just don't eat too fast.

[...brainfreeze.]

Don't worry, I won't!

[No, she will. Because as soon as she got her spoon, that's when she started digging into the ice cream!] C'mon, you should try it too! You wouldn't want it to melt and let it be all sad do you?

[Rei ignores this, eating slowly, deliberately, and with a smirk.]

Sometimes it's better if you savor it, Mabel-chan.

[meowbel]

But it's really good though! I just can't help it, once you start you just can't stop!

[She said with a giggle] I mean, how can you?

Easily.

[Rei pops another bite into her mouth, waggling her eyebrows playfully.]

[In return, Mabel couldn't help but give a small pout]

Then that's just not fair because I don't even know how to do that! I need to know your secret, Rei! And I need to know it now!

[faithfulflame]

The secret is patience, dear. just focus, think about something besides the ice cream while you eat. Talk to me about your life, while you eat and it'll make you feel less like you have to gobble it up.

[meowbel]

Talk about my life huh?

[she said before nibbling on the top end of the spoon] Well, I know I opened up a sweater store with Yu! Maybe you should go check it out sometime! I bet there might even be a sweater your size over there!

[Reaching out, she ruffles Mabel's hair a little bit.]
