I think that sounds fine. I've not really had much time to plan anything, but I'd like to spend the evening with her, afterwards.

Well, no worries, you have a few weeks and I can work around what you do. She wanted to do it in the evening, though, since it's a bonfire thing. But I can make it for the day before or after.
Being in the evening doesn't necessarily mean I can't pull her aside. I think...when I give you a signal, it'll be time for you to start pulling people away. Or at least helping me get her away from the group.
