[In the early afternoon, people paying attention to the journal may or may not take note of a familiar scene playing out in the woods on the edge of town. An open voice-feed, clearly unintentional of an extremely confused looking girl who's definitely just arrived, and from the sounds of it is not where she expected to be...]

Uuuuaaaah? W...what sort of illusion is this?!

[An actual scream!] KYYYYAAAAA!!!!!

W..hat?! WHAT?! N...o..., its gone! But...I was just...WHAT?! Where is it?! I've got to get back...from...here and...go help the others! But first...my pen...I've got to find it? And...whats this...thing? A book?

[The feed closes with the sound of footsteps coming near, but a misplaced finger adds a photograph to the broadcast.

I need to keep count of how many people here tell me that we are either meant to be here, to accept the circumstances for what they are, or that it is some variation of fate or destiny. I know it is but one possible explanation for all of this but I have never put much stock in Fate. You make your own.

[She's met these types before, people who just can't relate to the girl who is linked by destiny to four others. Rei's different, and the odd one, and she knows it]

Well, I can't tell you what to believe, of course ma'am. But everything happens for a reason, that much is certain.

It is not only the Malnosso. The world, itself, shifts from time to time. I think we are protected from the bulk of it due to the barrier; but the cycles? That is not purely the work of the Malnosso.

Truly? So...its more fate and circumstance, and less targeted abductions?

A little of both, if you like. The extent of the predetermination of this place is variable and strange. I would recommend discussing this with Raine Sage; she is the one that wrote the guide and has been here long enough to offer ample insight.

...I would have to say you must trust your own judgement on that. I have met those that are roguish, and some would call them dangerous. It all depends on your point of view and the situation.

Fair enough. But...there is someone from my world I'm seriously hoping isn't here. Do you know of anyone named Beryl? Or...does the word Shittenou mean anything?

I have not been here long, but neither of those names sound familiar. There seems to be a deficiency in anyone that would do the rest of the villagers harm; which is logical. Why have test subjects killing each other?

Thats good. They are...bad people. And I suppose no, thats true. If we're all in the same cage, we should all work together to get out.

Some do not mind being here so much, especially since they are dead or dying from when they have been taken. For them it is...a difficult subject. The rest, however, seem motivated to finding an escape.

A grave understatement doesn't even begin to describe it. Maybe...thats something for another time. [And by another time, she means probably never unless the other Senshi are OK with sharing. Sure its a different world but...]

It means it is disturbing for all parties involved directly or tangentially. It also makes the fact people can be pulled from different moments in their lives and brought here together equally odd. Say one man comes from a point in his life, and another from further on in his time. To his friend? He has been dead for years. It makes things strange, here.

I...can see that. I've already experienced that a little bit, here. I've spoken to 2 friends from home, and they both are from an entirely different world. Same names, and similar experiences with time...but...quite different in age and appearance than what I remember.

I have heard of that happening here, but I have not met anyone quite like that. To me? Everyone is from a different shade of reality. Nonetheless, it must be very strange for you.

They...seem fundamentally the same. But Usagi-chan and Ami-chan do look a bit different. And Ami-chan is older.
