Fourteenth Prayer: A Rekindling. [Video/Action]

[It’s been a while since Rei could even find the time to make a broadcast over the network, and given her encounter with Anakin Skywalker the last time she’d offered to do flame readings she’s not going to be offering that today. Instead, she’s got a question, and now that her leg has gotten back to normal, there’s also a bit of housekeeping to take care of before some very, very important plans happen. As well as some admissions and requests to take care of.

So, early in the day, she addresses the journal with a forced smile, because one the questions is a little embarrassing. Normally she’d probably have just talked to Yukiko and Yu, but the Inaba teenagers have both seemingly departed now…which directly relates to the other subject at hand, in fact. Ami being gone didn’t help, of course.]

Hello everyone, this is Rei Hino. I’m afraid to say that most of the people helping me tend to Tsukino Shrine have departed Luceti. If there’s anyone who has free time and would be willing to help me maintain it, I would really appreciate the help. Some of the work that needs to be done simply needs more hands to be done. I’d be willing to repay anyone willing to help with things I’m able to make. If you’re interested, please let me know either here at the shrine or through the journal.

And secondly, I was wondering if anyone had some insight on some exercises for getting back a leg into shape after an injury? My leg was hurt badly recently, and I’m still a little shaky at times, enough so that I’m not comfortable with normal physical activity beyond walking. I don’t want to strain myself, but I would like to get back to normal as quickly as possible.

Action:

[Later in the day, Rei heads out to visit two very specific people. Raine Sage and Fayt Leingod can expect visits. Raine by Sailor Mars, and Fayt by Rei herself.

After that business is taken care of, Rei hits the shops and starts to gather up some things. Clothing, boxes of food, board games, and pastries in addition to food stuff and a bottle of wine. All the things one needs for an evening alone with her special someone.

And by nightfall, Rei’s got Tsukino Shrine all prepared for her promised evening with Fenimore. Some food, a present, futons, and all the things they might need for the next two evenings. Hopefully it will be a peaceful, uninterrupted night!]

[She holds out the bag with food and wine for him.]

He took the bags from her and moved to let her lead the way. ]

Not at all. I heard what you said earlier, in your video. Carrying a heavy load won't do your leg any good, so figured I could help you out a little.

Older than twenty, younger than thirty-five.

[Rei says this with some certainty.]

And did you? Well thank you all the more then.

No problem. I went through a lot of rehab earlier this year, so I feel for you.

_{[ He wasn't mentioning what that rehab involved or how it happened,
though he wondered if Rei knew. She did have that ability to see the
future, which he now believed. ]}

I wish I had better advice about your leg other than to keep exercising it.

[She doesn't, but there's no need for him to know that. Her foretelling is flawless, okay? Okay!]

Well, that's all there really is to it. I was just asking about specific exercises besides walking.

_{[ But he had gone home and left a hole in their little home, which was
somehow rapidly being filled, kind of.}

He glanced at the bags he was carrying, noting some of the contents. ]

You throwing a party or something?

[Well since he's not here, she'll decline to comment.]

A party? No, nothing so noisy. I'm spending the night with my girlfriend.

_{[ Well, color him surprised. He hadn't though Rei would swing that way
from their one or two run ins, but well, whatever floated your boat, right?
He was with Spock, after all, and Vastra had Jenny back home. The things
you learn about a person in casual conversation. ]}

Yes, girlfriend.

[Well given that she didn't trust men when she'd arrived, and still doesn't except for a very specific group of folks? And even then, it'd taken a lot of soul-searching after a few shifts to make her so much as consider romance worthwhile at all. Kari and Billy and a few others had helped.]

Her name is Fenimore.

[No harm in telling him, really.]

Well, I'm glad for you. And I'm betting she'll appreciate the nice surprise.

_{[ He waggled the bag with the wine in it gently and grinned his
patented mischievous grin at her. ]}

Thank you, Kirk-san. I certainly hope so.

[She manages to smile back, though not nearly so mischievously]

You know, if you need any help around your temple or something, give me a call, okay? At least until your leg gets better.

_{[ He could be gallant when he wanted to be, and he had never not
wanted to help someone. Well, okay, there had been a few times, but he had
had good reasons.}

But everyone here - they were a community, and they should look out for each other. At least that was what he thought. ]

Thank you, I really would appreciate it. I did have plenty of responses, but more hands during festivals might be nice.

[She smiles much, much more genuinely at that, too.]

Festivals? There's a festival coming up?

Not now, no. September is the next one.

Oh. I think I was here for that one last time... isn't that when you read my future that first time?

I think it was. I hadn't been to your temple before then.

_{[ He wasn't a religious man, so he had never thought to go until then,
looking for something to do and had thought "why not"? His reputation with
sacred places had not improved, since he stole a scared scroll from some
people on a low-class planet to get them away from their place of worship.
They had gotten it back, at least... ]}

Well, I'll just take your word for it then. I'm sorry, I don't mean to seem like I've forgotten you or anything, Kirk-san. It's just that so many people come through, you know?

Oh, no, I get it! It's not like I come by a lot anyways. No offense to you or anything. I'm just not a religious man.

And I respect that. Believe me, there are few people who are truly "religious."

Well, I guess if I was feeling guilty I'd feel a bit better. But thanks anyways.

Do you want me to come in with these, or do you want to carry them yourself?

Uh, no it's fine. If you want me to come in, I will. I just thought I'd give you the chance to get rid of me if you didn't want your house seen.
