[Minako's been taking care of the apartment while Rei's had her migraine. some terrible things happened on the recent raid and Minako can completely understand why her grifriend doesn't feel like going out. so the fact that someone is bringing food to them? that's wonderful!
the fact that it's Archer? well, Minako doesn't know. he was kind of rude to Venus when they met. but, other than that, Minako didn't really know him. there must have been some good in him, since he was Rei's friend. she'd just have to see for herself]
No problem!
[actually, she opens the front door a crack in advance, so they can hear him coming. while they're waiting, she starts getting plates and utensils ready on the table]
[Rei sits upright. She'd expected him to come in with the door all ajar, but instead she just calls out.]
It's open. Come in.
[And if he does? Well, he'll see Rei in general disrepair. The lights are off, curtains drawn to keep it dimmer. The girl herself is in a rumpled t-shirt and jeans, a haggard look to her. Especially around her eyes, dark bags stand out against her pale skin.]
[Minako's greeting isn't as cheerful as it usually is. she's also subdued, mostly because of Rei. she's keeping her voice down, not making too much noise, and doing everything she can to make the other's rest as easy as can be.
she holds out her hands to lighten Archer's load, if he wants help, giving him a pleasant smile despite the circumstances]
Yes, thanks a lot! Rei-chan will be the first to tell you what a poor cook I am, so I've been the one running out to get food lately.
[He'd normally just carry it all himself but there was no reason to cause a scene. Not with Miss Angry not being....angry.
He wondered if he was doing to have to play medic.]
Here.
[He passed over the large, round covered tray. Yes, there was a cake in there but that was for later. What he had in the bowl in his hands were Chicken and Dumplings, mostly because it was very simple to make, especially when supplies were still at a semi-premium.]
[Rei silently watches the exchange, but nods in agreement a couple of times. Especially about Minako and cooking.]
Thank you both, truly. It smells lovely, whatever it is.
[She rises, wobbly a little, and actually plunks back down holding her head as a sudden flash of pain ripples through it. She's not making it up to the kitchen, it seems.]
Sorry. Could you...get the tv trays? I don't think getting up is happening right now. Not like this.
[poor Rei. Minako first puts the covered item on the kitchen counter, then rushes to get the tv trays. she will bring one to Rei, and then give her a sad look]
It's a migraine. Pain killers would be nice, and tea if we have any left.
[She looks gratefully from her girlfriend to her...friend...and inclines her head. It was one of those dull, throbbing sorts of things, but thankfully not the nausea inducing kind.
Sitting up straight, she effects a weak smile at the pair. She also makes no move to stop an inspection, oddly.]
So, I guess you figured out what happened, Archer?
[aspirin had just been a suggestion, even if it wasn't quite the right one. but when Rei requests tea, she will go to fetch that. there might be some painkillers left, too.
after getting Rei what pills she can find, and water, she moves back to the kitchen to start dishing out food for the three of them. she doesn't know if Archer will stay to eat, but she's going to be hospitable, dammit. also tea. tea for everyone!]
[Minako can hear them from the kitchen, since she's not that far away. she has finished dishing up the food and brings out Archer's and Rei's plates first]
[Minako sets down the plates on the tv trays and then gets on her knees to sit beside Archer. she's also curious, but willing to do anything if it could help her beloved Rei-chan]
Pay attention, I'm only going to show you this once.
[Rei will have to deal with being shown off for a moment.
But Archer puts a hand on either side of her head from behind, thumbs resting over her forehead.]
You'll need to massage here [he indicates Rei's sinus area with his thumbs], here [again with Rei's temples with his fingers], and here [this time behind her ears]. Thirty minutes total, ten minutes per section, every few hours or so. It'll give her some relief.
[Rei very nearly flinches away from Archer's touch. She doesn't like having someone she doesn't know as deeply as one of the Senshi or her grandfather anywhere near this close, but she has come to accept that Archer might be someone trustworthy. It's a stark change, though one Minako might be the only one to pick up on, for Rei to just lay there quietly.
The thought of it from Minako, though, does bring to mind some very pleasant feelings. As does repaying the debt.]
Thirty minutes? [it's not quite a whine, but Minako does look displeased for a moment. then she seems to realize how selfish that sounds, and she flexes her fingers] ...I guess I can do that. For Rei-chan.
I would hope so or you're in for a short relationship.
[Archer decides to retreat, taking temporary residence in a different place to sit. And he doesn't grab for any food because he honestly doesn't eat, despite the fact that he cooks.]
[Minako scoots in so that she can lean over Rei, putting her hands where Archer had his just moments before. the smile she gives Rei is tender, apologetic, even]
I'm not going to refuse. Just leave everything to nurse Minako! ♥

He's also polite enough to knock rather than just come on in. What a nice guy.]

Do you want some aspirin?

[If the pain is enough that she's not getting up, it probably wouldn't solve a thing.]
If you're capable of at least serving food, I'll take a look at Rei.
[Not that he could do much. But he could recommend something out of his repertoire of experience.]

While she's doing that, tell me where the pain is sharpest.

My temples, and back a way, towards my ears. A little in the center of my forehead as well, but it's the temples that are the worst.

[He shrugs once and actually speaks up here, directing his statement at Minako.]
You're going to have to ask her for a favor in return once she's feeling better.
no subject
Minako. Her name is Minako, not 'blondie.'
no subject
A favor? What do you mean?

[He slides over to stand by Rei's head and looks down at her.]
Close your eyes and hopefully try to relax.

Minako-chan, I will make it up to you, as soon as I'm myself again. Don't worry about that.
And Archer's wrong. I know it's asking a lot, and I wouldn't be upset by a refusal.

If that's it, I'll take my leave. There's cake in the other container for when you're done eating.
