You know...I don't know if I want to know about wings.

[That just sounds uncomfortable.]

And you mean that you were just dropped into this internment camp and given no direction? What on earth for? How would that be remotely conducive to getting home?

They came in all colors and sizes, but they were inconvenient nearly all of the time.

[Uncomfortable doesn't even begin to touch the surface of that one.]

There were comminqués and missions from an organization calling themselves the Malnosso who were conducting experiments to return us to our own worlds. As for why these things happened, I was pulled here before we could find out.

You were pulled here? You mean...you just jumped from one place to the next?

[That just seems so...unsatisfactory.]

Yes, just as we were getting ready to go home finally, we wound up here.

[Leia looks less than pleased about that. Her thoughts are still on the speech given when she arrived. Which world was gone? Luceti or her home? How would Han take it? How could they even think about it?

In a way, it's too much and Leia's pushed it down deep for later dissection. Right now, her attention must be focused on this strange new world.]

It's more than just a little annoying.

I can only imagine. I'm hardly an interdimensional traveler.

[She just leans back and sighs, folding her arms as she looks up at the sky. Or whatever passes for it.

This was just hard to accept. But what choice did she have.]

You...though, there's something more about you. You're a psychic, aren't you?

I'm not an interdimensional traveler either. This past year has been different.

[When she asks about being a psychic, Leia blinks and smiles a little.]

Something like that, I suppose. Probably not in the same way you are if I understand your powers at all.

[Rei smiles somewhat self-deprecatingly. She hadn't expected to be called out on that.]

What do you know about my powers, exactly? Since you know me. Or...of me.

[Well, she wasn't going to bring it up, but you said something first, so...]

Ami said that you're a psychic, that you can see flashes of the future and you have some power over fire. And you're a fellow empath. Other than that, I can't say. I never got to see you fight in the few conflicts I was involved in at Luceti. Ami either for that matter.

[faithfulflame]

Hopefully there weren't too many...

[She's not disagreeing with the assessment, at least. It's accurate, but more to the point she wonders about Ami in a conflict...]

And were there others? Friends of ours. Minako Aino, Usagi Tsukiko, and Makoto Kino. They should've been with us as well.

I was only there for a few battles, but others had been there for years and fought many times with the different factions on the world.

[But, then again, fighting just seemed like another aspect of her life since she actively joined the Rebellion as a teenager.]

I didn't meet any of those other people. Ami didn't like to talk about it much, but with the way that Luceti worked, people sometimes came and went on a regular basis. So, it's possible that they were there, but I only saw you and Ami.

Fair.

[Rei shakes her head at that news though.]

And I suppose that's for the best. If it was just the two of us, it's easier on them. We...aren't really warriors. But I can't imagine life without them.

[Another helpless shrug though, as she realizes that for the moment she'll be doing just that.]

Do you have other friends here?

[Leia shakes her head. As much as she wishes to know about the other people she loves, she can't selfishly wish them with her.]

Aside from my husband, no, I'm not sure there's anyone else I know here.

Saber

[Rei frowns at that. She's got a good handle on Japanese geography, second only to her blue haired bestie...and Fuyuki is not a place she's ever heard of.]

Where in Japan is that? What Prefecture?

[ Saber explains here in a action spam tag, because who knows where it actually is. But she definitely knows! She's left and come back after all, and her knowledge of Japan is pretty strong thanks to the information given to her by the Grail when she was summoned. ]

It is the city where my Master lives. ...If it still exists.

[faithfulflame]

[And because Fuyuki is created by Nasuverse Magic, Rei frowns at the description. It's analogous to the Kobe area, and Rei knows that extensively. OooOOOoooo universes not matching up!]

Then it would appear we are, at least, from different versions of Earth. Such a city doesn't exist in my world. Which would explain other discrepancies as well.

[Such as there being other magical transforming people, and Saber not having experienced Shinto folk magic.]

And don't be like that. It does still. We are supposed to help save it, after all.

[ Saber doesn't argue about the being of different worlds, if this girl says she doesn't know Fuyuki then she will give her the benefit of the doubt that she isn't overestimating her geography knowledge. But that other part... ]

Discrepancies? What do you mean?

[ Saber shakes her head. ]

My Master is not so sure. And my trust in CERES is not very strong. [ And Rin understands computers more than Saber ever will. ]

[Rei shrugs a little helplessly.]

People don't transform like you do. Or have Servants that are obviously some sort of spiritual entity.

[She's only giving you a 9/10 on the 'Warrior of Light' scale though, because you aren't Usagi or an obvious angel.]

And what reason would they have to lie about that, at least?

The world of mages is shrouded in secrecy by the Church. It hunts down people who expose their secret, it would be no surprise if you hadn't heard of that.

[ The church. How she didn't like the idea of what they did, tarnishing her own faith's name with their draconian, violent policies. ]

They do not act as if they are working in our best interest. These events they throw are merely distractions from the great issues we face.

[faithfulflame]

[Rei just shakes her head and lets that one slide. She's a part of the Church, herself, and she's pretty convinced that Saber is just from another world. Or she'd have fought the Dark Kingdom, the Death Busters, the Dark Moon and the host of other enemies that've threatened the Earth. Good spirits just do that.]

I don't disagree, there, though maybe it's to improve morale? Or to keep us on our toes. That...thing...certainly didn't seem in keeping with anything related to this place's stated goal.

[ Saber doesn't know the modern world all that way, so she can't say for sure. But she does start to feel some amount of trust in Rei. ]

It is possible. To present a threat that will cause us to band together. I would not be surprised if that were a possibility.

[Rei probably just has one of those faces.]

But hardly the only one. Information is what we need. Knowledge is power and as far as I can see we have none.

My Master is already working to learn as much as she can about CERES and their plans with us. But I should not speak more than that.

No, not if you're bound to some sort of secrecy. I wouldn't want to cause trouble.

It is for her own protection that I keep what I can closely guarded.
