First Prayer: Enter: Sailor Mars! [Action/Accidental Voice]
[In the early afternoon, people paying attention to the journal may or may not take note of a familiar scene playing out in the woods on the edge of town. An open voice-feed, clearly unintentional of an extremely confused looking girl who's definitely just arrived, and from the sounds of it is not where she expected to be...]
Uuuuaaaah? W...what sort of illusion is this?!
[An actual scream!] KYYYYAAAAA!!!!!
W..hat?! WHAT?! N...o..., its gone! But...I was just...WHAT?! Where is it?! I've got to get back...from...here and...go help the others! But first...my pen...I've got to find it? And...whats this...thing? A book?
[The feed closes with the sound of footsteps coming near, but a misplaced finger adds a photograph to the broadcast.

[She's mumbling a bit by the end, unsure of herself...]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[She's starting to calm down, the older woman making a surprising amount of sense]
I...I'm Rei. Rei Hino. Who...are you?
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Voice]
Rei, please try to remain calm as I explain this to you. Every new villager receives three things from the Malnosso. One is the journal, through which we communicate. One is a tattoo of a barcode on the nape of your neck. The last? Wings. Small, vestigial wings.
[Voice]
EEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?! W...WINGS?!
[She feels around...her hands brushing against the tender feathered surface, causing her to wince]
I...guess that would explain why my back hurts...
[Voice]
They are vital to our health, here. Losing feathers means illness, losing one wing is dire. Lose both? You die. After today they will not be quite so sensitive.
[Voice]
[If this hadn't come from a doctor, she might have freaked out much worse. She's trying to center herself again, too]
I, yea. Sorry. This is a bit much to absorb.
[Voice]
[Voice]
Is there any reason I should be as dizzy as I am? Something the enemy did?
[Voice]
Can you see any significant landmarks?
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Pirate flag...? Weird]

[Her journal thuds closed and Adele pulls on her coat (again) and her scarf, (again), to walk out to community house three. She cannot help but wonder if this will be a regular occurrence, snorts at herself for the thought, and offers Rei a wave once she's in view. So very many young people in the village already, and more still arriving. It's starting to unnerve her, just a little.]
Mademoiselle Rei?
[Action]
Yes. Doctor Leblanc, I presume?
[She will bow politely, elegantly bending like a reed in the wind, smiling gratefully for the help]
I appreciate your assistance.
[Action]
[She offers Rei the overlarge coat she'd found earlier in the week and set aside with the rest of her New Feather greeting goodie bag. Shoes, blouses, slacks, most often oversized because it is easy enough to wear something too big. Something too small? It is much more difficult.
The bow is returned with an abbreviated nod and curious look around the clearing.]
So you were not one of the more fortunate New Feathers that arrived with their clothing folded next to them? Those seem to be rare.
[Action]
[She'll toss on the big coat, looking rather awkward as it practically is large enough to eat her. Rei is rather small, even for a Japanese girl]
Thank you. I feel warmer already. Please, lead the way out of here, I'm not sure where I'm going at all.
[Action]
There is a map in the back of your journal, as well as a guide that explains most of the relevant details to living here. It covers the village, what has happened in the past, the barrier, how your stay here effects the world you've come from, everything.
[Action]
How...does my being here affect my home? I was in the middle of something very important, and...my friend was counting on me.
[Action]
For the duration of your stay time is more or less frozen as far as you are concerned. Whenever you return, you return to the moment from which you were taken.
