Second Prayer: A Proper Greeting and Mysterious Arrivals[Video/Action]

Backdated to March 16th

[Early on the morning of her fifth day in Luceti, Rei Hino leaves the house she shares with the other Senshi to go about her business for the day when she is surprised to find two very familiar faces perched in a tree not far from the house. Excitedly, Rei calls out happily to a pair of large, black crows]

Phobos?! Deimos?! Is that you?!

[The birds CAW loudly and wing down, happily skipping around on the ground at her feet. These birds had been her friends and companions for many years, and...without them it just wouldn't be as comfortable for her in this odd land. Plans now forgotten, Rei spends the morning playing with Phobos and Deimos, walking all around the village in her Miko robe with the two birds flapping around with her. Anyone unfamiliar with Rei catching the spectacle might be incredibly taken aback by just how familiar the corvids seem with the strange girl, actually allowing her to gently touch them, quorking happily]

[Later that afternoon, a Video feed will start up over the journal system.

Rei is sitting on a bench outside, fiddling with the journal for a moment before setting it down and standing up to address the camera properly. Her speech is very formal, and unlike her last broadcast, she sounds much more calm and collected, despite the pair of crows that peer into the camera a few times during the broadcast]

Good Afternoon everyone. I would like to take a moment to properly introduce myself when I'm not screaming and worrying about everything. My name is Rei Hino, and I am from Tokyo, Japan. I would like to apologize for my outburst the other day, and especially to anyone that I may have yelled at or been rude to.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone that helped me when I arrived. I promise that I won't ever forget it. Additionally, I want to thank everyone who helped take care of my friends Mizuno Ami-san, and Tsukino Usagi-san in the time before I arrived. They are very, very dear to me and I am glad that they seem to have found the inhabitants of this village to be welcoming and kind. They have told me many good things about many of you, so I look forward to meeting you.

And...I gather from other broadcasts its customary to ask a question. So, my question is this: What are the spirits of this land like? Are they kind and helpful, or are they capricious and mean? Also, I would like to know more about the spirits of your homelands. Studying such things is one of my fondest hobbies, so I am very curious.

Right. Thats pretty much what I remember as well. Metalia and Beryl ended it, and we were reborn in the modern age since our fates are intertwined. And its our job to keep her safe.

[That's all very true. So are some other things.]

The prince also died in that war, defending her. In the whole Earth, he still remained free from Metalia's manipulation.

[Rei nods, this sounded like things she'd remembered and heard before]

I've heard this before, from Queen Serenity. The prince seemed like such a noble soul.

What's where it went wrong. [Not before that? But she's making the point of what comes next.]

When the prince died, in her panic, the princess released the power of the ginzuishou.

And that was how the Earth and Moon were destroyed.

[When Rei hears this, she blinks. It takes her a minute to absorb what she'd heard. Her eyes gradually widen]

That...doesn't sound like what Queen Serenity told...us. I thought it was Queen Serenity who commanded the end of the Silver Millennium, and...set us to reincarnate using her magic? That's...not right...

[Ami nods, accepting this. After all, she's heard it before, and always from friends who she trusts.]

I understand that, a little. But... It's true that it happened this way instead, in my world.

It also happened in this life. But! What I told you before is right, too: Usagi-chan saved us all. She brought the Earth back when it was destroyed.

The problem left, is what to tell her. She doesn't have any knowledge of herself as the princess, and it might be better... It might be better if it stays that way. At least for now.

["It also happened in this life..." This phrase, this is where Rei's mind sticks. She LISTENS to what Ami has to say, but that is the thing that explodes into the forefront of her thoughts]

"It also happened in this life." Ami-chan, are you...saying what I think you are?

[She takes the plunge, and tells everything. There's nothing to hide, now.]

We all fought to stop her, but we weren't able to.

[That...that unnerves her quite a bit]

We...fought...Usagi-chan. So we could stop her from...? That...thats...

[Thats pretty hard to handle...and Rei's trying with every ounce of grace she can to NOT freak out]

But, she saved us all again...?

[It's hard to handle for the ones who lived it. But the next part, of course, is easier.]

That's right. After it happened again, Usagi-chan was able to use the ginzuishou once more to restore everything. Although, we all lost the power to transform after that, until later on.

[Somehow...that doesn't surprise Rei, but it doesn't make it any easier to think about.]

And...just what triggered this...episode? [She doesn't want to believe it, but if Ami told her, it MUST be true]

[That part is exactly the same as the repetition of the past in Rei's world.]

Metalia was able to take over the body of the prince. Usagi-chan... To stop Metalia from destroying the planet, she was forced to kill him.

When he died again, the past repeated.

[Poor Usagi-chan...she knew that battle would be coming up in her own world. After...everything]

And she...brought us back. Alright. I understand, and I can understand why you are worried. So...THIS Usagi-chan doesn't know about that yet?

That's right. She doesn't have any awareness of herself as the princess, and she doesn't know Chiba Mamoru well yet.

It's probably better that way, for now.

And you want my advice on...what to tell her?

[See, she did listen, Ami-chan!]

Don't. At all. Usagi-chan doesn't need to know that, not here. I think it would hurt her, very much.

I understand that. Really.

But, I can't help thinking, if she knew, she could prepare for it. It might even be able to be avoided.

But, on the other hand, telling her might also provoke those memories, and the princess. And with the prince not even here...

I...thought I read in the guidebook that when we go back, we lose our memories? Wouldn't that not do any good?

And, if she did become the princess here, does she have the ginzuishou? I think that it would be really hard on her, knowing that is coming.

[She didn't think she'd ever have to say this...]

Ami-chan, I think maybe you're wrong this time. Your logic is sound, but...the risk? There's quite a lot at stake if she gets provoked. And if Mamoru-san isn't here? It'd be worse...

[Oh, her logic is definitely sound, because she certainly sees both sides of the arguments. Ami settles for the practical questions first.]

I only believe the guidebook until we find a way to keep them. It's too important to give up trying.

Would we have a way to keep them? I mean, if we went back, would we even know we were missing memories?

As things are now, we wouldn't. That's why I want to find a better solution.

It's important.

[Because the differences between their worlds don't stop at the princess. There was also Ami's own weakness, and her time in the darkness as a slave to the Dark Kingdom.]

Well, then maybe...if you think we need to tell her. We could give her some information in a more roundabout way? I know its mean, but Usagi-chan's head doesn't work in a straight line, so it'd take her a while to figure it out if we gave it to her in a riddle.

She...has a right to know, at least some of it.

But what can we say that wouldn't be too much?

['Usagi, you're the princess'? Once she realizes it, it might become dangerous.

'Usagi, you destroyed the world in the past. You have to become strong and avoid it'? She'd be scared, and probably panic.]

I honestly don't know, Ami-chan. Minako-chan would, or Luna. But I don't. Maybe we could start with the basics, and explain...just how your world was reborn a long time ago. And see how she takes that?

Its all got to be worded carefully though...

But I'm also afraid of what might happen if she remembers. Chiba Mamoru isn't even here. If she becomes aware of herself as the princess, and becomes the princess, if he isn't here she might really do something bad.

Well, how did it first happen in your world? Was it related to Mamoru-san? Or did something else trigger it?
