Good afternoon everyone. For those of you who have not met me, my name is Rei Hino. I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all of the New Feathers. I'm sure that you will find something that you enjoy here, and that you will be able to make many friends. If you need any help, please feel free to contact me at any time.

On to other matters, though. Its taken me some time, but I have managed to prepare and purify a small area on the edge of the forest where I can perform flame readings and other types of fortune telling. I do not have much in the way of a shrine, merely a tent and a small consecrated area with which to work, so I hope that doesn't reflect poorly on the experience. In my world, I am a priestess, and I'm fortunate enough to have a gift when it comes to doing such things. If anyone is interested, I will happily use my blessings to offer a reading of your future. It would be my greatest honor to provide my services.

While I cannot guarantee perfect results thanks to our hosts weakening my powers, I feel that its not out of my reach to offer answers to simple questions that you may have about your near future. All that you need to provide is a question and a single hair for a flame reading, or just your question for other types of fortune telling. I have a set of tarot cards if anyone prefers that, but I'm more confident in my abilities at flame visions.

I hope that you find my fortune telling to be enjoyable!

[An elegantly drawn map pointing to an area on the edge of the forest is included with the broadcast pointing it out]

[Rei can be found at the site depicted on the map for most of the day. Its simple enough, a tent that she and the other senshi had found in the item shop, erected as a sort of open air shrine with a carefully prepared brazier on the outside. Near the center is a small round table she'd hauled out of her house, and at the entrance is a bucket of purified water meant to cleanse oneself before a reading. A pair of crows, Phobos and Deimos, dart playfully around the area, hopefully adding to the impression of the site.

Rei greets anyone who comes by with a happy smile and a great deal of enjoyment. She loves using her gifts, and if it brings a measure of peace or enjoyment to someone she's more than glad]

(OOC: If you have Rei do a reading, I'll offer up a generic enough fortune, since they tend to be very vague most of the time. However, if you wish for something more specific or want to use the reading to set something up for future plans, foreshadowing, whatever, please speak with me and we can work out some details! Hit me up in a PM and we can work from there.)

[There's a long beat of silence as Viral considers this, but ultimately he sighs and nods to the brazier, cowed by his own curiosity.]

All right. How does it work?

[Rei stands and bows, nodding cheerfully when she heard is request. Yes, bowing is polite Harry, but she doesn't expect it from a non-Japanese person.]

Yes, we did. Its nice to meet you Mr. Dresden. Please come in, and I'll be happy to read your future.

[She gestures to the bucket of water]

First, I'll need you to purify yourself. Pour a small bit of water over your left hand, then right. Then drink a sip, and wash your drinking hand once more. Then, I'll need a single hair, and we'll see what the flames have to say.

[Phobos and Deimos scraw down at Marco, happy to be recognized. They land around Rei's feet as she walks out to greet the odd man]

Its going rather well, Marco-san. I've had quite a few interesting customers, and more than a few very interesting fortunes told. Would you like one, too?

I take a single hair of yours, and burn it. Then, I can look into the flames and see your future. I can share it sometimes, the vision, but not always.

[She points to the bucket]

It's Viral. My name.

[No titles or anything--they were long gone. Despite his doubts, Viral goes ahead and follows her instructions. When done, he bows his head to her height so that she may pluck a hair more easily, but watches her carefully through his heavy bangs the entire time.]

Is that all?

Yes, thats all.

[Rei takes a single hair, gently from the center of his head before walking over to the flames.]

Have a seat, this may take a few minutes.

[She tosses the hair into the fire, claps twice, bows, and then kneels in meditation, opening her mind to the flame]

Oh, you have a set of tarot cards? Did you find them at the item shop, or did you make them? I've been looking for a set, you see, but I haven't managed to track one down...

Ah, I made them. Or rather, my friends and I did. We could make another set, if you want?

Nice t'meetchya too, Rei. Should be there in five minutes or so, so I'll see ya soon!

[When he arrives at the location she depicted, he'll be looking about curiously and with interest, offering her a goodnatured grin in response to her own. In the span of a few minutes, he has already become that much more excited about this.]

[Rei waves at Mac when she sees the young man approach. Its odd to note that he's actually shorter than she is...]

You're Mac, right? Hello!

[Ami's eyes widen. Rei, you wouldn't! But after a second, she calms herself, quiets down, and shakes her head, glancing anywhere but directly at Rei for the moment.]

It's really nothing like that. [It was just... yes of course.] It was the Malnosso. One time, during an experiment, there was someone. [She is not explaining this clearly, not like Ami at all.]

Oh, well this sounds like something interesting.

[Is that a chink in your armor, Ami-chan? Rei thinks she'll dig a little more]

There was someone? What was he like?

He's a good man. Since then, we've become friends.

[She repeats the words somewhat meaningfully to make her point.] Just friends.

[If she were being just a bit more truthful, she'd be able to admit that Luke had many attractive qualities: leadership, strength, courage, a certain nobility.]

Ami-chan, whats his name?

[She can tell Ami has more on her mind that she isn't saying. Is it possible that her friend has started to open up to someone?]

And...friends are good. Its always good to have friends.

[She places a teasing emphasis on the last word]

Luke. Luke Skywalker. [And suddenly, some of the symbolism in the dream becomes clear.] But don't say anything, Rei-chan. [Because that, apparently, is a warning needed for someone who's just a friend.]

Luke Skywalker? Thats...a good name, if a little strange. You've mentioned him before, haven't you?

[Now she puts on a face full of completely FALSE hurt and crosses her arms]

Who would I tell, Ami-chan?

[Ami, who does understand Rei doesn't mean any harm, still seems to take her seriously, answering a bit uncomfortably.]

Usagi-chan... maybe. [She hopes Rei wouldn't really doom her to that endless teasing, but...]

[He follows her direction and sits, arms folded as per his custom. He still doesn't quite understand exactly how all this adds up to being able to see the future, but he watches with distant curiosity.]

Oh? Are you sure you don't want Usagi-chan to know? It could make our lives a lot more entertaining here...

[After a few moments, Rei's eyes open wide and she turns, placing her hands on Viral's, uncrossing them with a gentle tug and a smile.]

Watch...

[Thats all she says as her vision floods into the beastman's mind. A wide field, filled with flowers and a perfectly clear night sky dominate the scene. Standing in the center is Viral, a peaceful smile plastered on his surly face, and surrounding him are many other beings. Some of them are humans, one of them is distinctly this man and a wide variety of other faces, none of whom are visible]

[He never experienced something like this before--a thought entering his, unbidden, almost like the dreams he hasn't had for seven years. The vision Rei shows him is confusing...never has he seen such a peaceful scene.
