Second Prayer: A Proper Greeting and Mysterious Arrivals[Video/Action]

Backdated to March 16th

[Early on the morning of her fifth day in Luceti, Rei Hino leaves the house she shares with the other Senshi to go about her business for the day when she is surprised to find two very familiar faces perched in a tree not far from the house. Excitedly, Rei calls out happily to a pair of large, black crows]

Phobos?! Deimos?! Is that you?!

[The birds CAW loudly and wing down, happily skipping around on the ground at her feet. These birds had been her friends and companions for many years, and...without them it just wouldn't be as comfortable for her in this odd land. Plans now forgotten, Rei spends the morning playing with Phobos and Deimos, walking all around the village in her Miko robe with the two birds flapping around with her. Anyone unfamiliar with Rei catching the spectacle might be incredibly taken aback by just how familiar the corvids seem with the strange girl, actually allowing her to gently touch them, quorking happily]

[Later that afternoon, a Video feed will start up over the journal system.

Rei is sitting on a bench outside, fiddling with the journal for a moment before setting it down and standing up to address the camera properly. Her speech is very formal, and unlike her last broadcast, she sounds much more calm and collected, despite the pair of crows that peer into the camera a few times during the broadcast]

Good Afternoon everyone. I would like to take a moment to properly introduce myself when I'm not screaming and worrying about everything. My name is Rei Hino, and I am from Tokyo, Japan. I would like to apologize for my outburst the other day, and especially to anyone that I may have yelled at or been rude to.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone that helped me when I arrived. I promise that I won't ever forget it. Additionally, I want to thank everyone who helped take care of my friends Mizuno Ami-san, and Tsukino Usagi-san in the time before I arrived. They are very, very dear to me and I am glad that they seem to have found the inhabitants of this village to be welcoming and kind. They have told me many good things about many of you, so I look forward to meeting you.

And...I gather from other broadcasts its customary to ask a question. So, my question is this: What are the spirits of this land like? Are they kind and helpful, or are they capricious and mean? Also, I would like to know more about the spirits of your homelands. Studying such things is one of my fondest hobbies, so I am very curious.

Yep. What do you think we'll need? Corn and bread crumbs...and maybe...hmm...I don't want to put them in a cage if they need to come inside, that wouldn't be nice.

Do you think...Usagi will be alright with them around?

We'll help her get used to them. Since they won't stay in the house while it's warm, she can make friends with them gradually.

Thats true. Its funny, the first time she and I met...they attacked her. I've never seen Usagi-chan so confused before! Did that happen at your home as well?

I heard about it in school the next day when she told everyone: As soon as they cawed at her, she ran away! [She will not laugh, she will not laugh. Ok, just a little bit.]

[Rei can't help but laugh a bit too]

I bet she called them mean, monster birds too. They really are sweet, there was just something...wrong at the shrine, so maybe they got protective.

[Ami becomes serious at that.]

There was a youma targeting it around that time. When we returned, it crept up just behind Usagi-chan. She was lucky you were there.

Its the same in my world. Thats...when I learned who I was, at home. I think I met you the next day, actually. We have similar worlds, maybe things went on similar path? Fate...probably guided it that way.

[Granted, in Ami's world, Rei didn't accidentally target Usagi as the source. Probably for the best.]

Our fate from the past life...

Actually, I've wanted to talk to you about that. It might be different.

You have? Alright, well...what do you want to talk about, Ami-chan?

[She's pretty happy, clearly no idea whats coming]

And do you mind walking while we do it? Its a nice day, and I'm feeling like being away from the house for a bit. Is that alright?

[Ami is not so relaxed, as she uses these few moments to decide how to say everything. She nods, and makes ready to go.]

It might be better, actually. [She'd rather Usagi not hear.]

[Rei notes the seriousness in Ami's voice, and her expression darkens noticeably]

Alright. Please, lead the way.

[She walks in silence awhile, trying to remember everything the Usagi from the different world had told her, to know what Rei will know already and need to be told.]

Rei-chan, you know our past is connected to the princess of the moon and Earth's prince, and about the war that came to the Moon because of jealousy brought about by Metalia and Beryl. Is that right?

[Rei quietly walks alongside, her expression growing more and more grim]

Yes. I'm familiar with that. We were the Senshi back then, and princesses in our own right, correct? And Metalia and Beryl destroyed the peace.

And back then, our kingdom on the Moon was destroyed. We were the warriors who protected the princess back then, but she fell in love with the prince even though it was forbidden.

[She leads up to it slowly.]

Right. Thats pretty much what I remember as well. Metalia and Beryl ended it, and we were reborn in the modern age since our fates are intertwined. And its our job to keep her safe.

[That's all very true. So are some other things.]

The prince also died in that war, defending her. In the whole Earth, he still remained free from Metalia's manipulation.

[Rei nods, this sounded like things she'd remembered and heard before]

I've heard this before, from Queen Serenity. The prince seemed like such a noble soul.

What's where it went wrong. [Not before that? But she's making the point of what comes next.]

When the prince died, in her panic, the princess released the power of the ginzuishou.

And that was how the Earth and Moon were destroyed.

[When Rei hears this, she blinks. It takes her a minute to absorb what she'd heard. Her eyes gradually widen]

That...doesn't sound like what Queen Serenity told...us. I thought it was Queen Serenity who commanded the end of the Silver Millennium, and...set us to reincarnate using her magic? That's...not right...

[Ami nods, accepting this. After all, she's heard it before, and always from friends who she trusts.]

I understand that, a little. But... It's true that it happened this way instead, in my world.

It also happened in this life. But! What I told you before is right, too: Usagi-chan saved us all. She brought the Earth back when it was destroyed.

The problem left, is what to tell her. She doesn't have any knowledge of herself as the princess, and it might be better... It might be better if it stays that way. At least for now.

["It also happened in this life..." This phrase, this is where Rei's mind sticks. She LISTENS to what Ami has to say, but that is the thing that explodes into the forefront of her thoughts]

"It also happened in this life." Ami-chan, are you...saying what I think you are?

[She takes the plunge, and tells everything. There's nothing to hide, now.]

We all fought to stop her, but we weren't able to.

[That...that unnerves her quite a bit]

We...fought...Usagi-chan. So we could stop her from...? That...thats...

[Thats pretty hard to handle...and Rei's trying with every ounce of grace she can to NOT freak out]

But, she saved us all again...?

[It's hard to handle for the ones who lived it. But the next part, of course, is easier.]

That's right. After it happened again, Usagi-chan was able to use the ginzuishou once more to restore everything. Although, we all lost the power to transform after that, until later on.

[Somehow...that doesn't surprise Rei, but it doesn't make it any easier to think about.]

And...just what triggered this...episode? [She doesn't want to believe it, but if Ami told her, it MUST be true]
